Online

When a player is online, a Green 'cog' like image will appear next to his name in the com-list, stating that he is online. If there is a red 'cog', then a player is offline, and if the mouse is kept on the offline button, then you are able to see how long that player has been offline for. Plaers can only change their preferences when online, however, you can access IRC, and the Forum, if you are offline.
