Each Ship and Building has Attackpoints (AP) and Lifepoints (LP). in a battle a ship shoots with its AP and damages the target ships LP.
AP stands for Attack Points, and is the power a ship's attack, and is the amount deducted from the enemy's LP. LP stands for Life Points, which is the health of a ship, and is deducted from by AP. If a ship goes to 0 LP, it is destroyed, but might be reconstructable by the Major reconstructor or Minor reconstructor.
