under self destruction this ship explodes shooting a multitude of negatively charged spores into class 2. these spores cause the shockwave emitters of spectre class ships to implode in both fleets

Damn you must have had a lot of trouble with spectres!
100 mp for a class 1 ship (it should be that high considering it's capability) with only 1 lifepoint!
I don't think this will work, it is far to specified (attacks just 1 kind of ship) and cost a lot.

In the start of the battle, destroys anything but fighters,destroyers and cruisers in both fleets, then selfdestructs

You can make the jokes, but you should realize class 1 is less played because of the class 1 destruction ships (spectre, cyclops, dread, eagle) and other ships.

There are indeed to much class 1 destructors.
But class 1 has some serious higher class damagers aswell.
I use class 1 a lot.
I think there should less mass destruction on class 1, or a better weapon to defend you indeed, but a ship that only hits spectres has no use in this.
