Each fleet in Spacetrace is only capable of moving through space if at least one ship provides the warpfield for the fleet.

A standard warpspeed is warp 5 which is the speed a normal mothership can provide.

if a fleet moves with warp 5 it will pass 1 sector in 30 minutes

Transwarp

if a fleet moves at a tremendous speed, faster than warp 10 the speed will be called transwarp

Hyperjump

If a fleet builds up the warpfield to fly to certain coordinates, it is called a hyperjump to that coordinates.

The target of such a hyperjump can be scanned by a trace probe
