I thought penguins blew themselves up(recycled themselves) after a battle???? I was just involved in this battle

yours: 100 ships
class 2:
92 destroyers (10/10, 8 MP)
7 shield generators (0/2, 4 MP)
class 4:
1 mothership (0/1000, 320 MP)

enemy: 3111 ships
class 1:
3020 penguins (4/1, 1 MP)
class 2:
70 destroyers (10/10, 8 MP)
class 3:
20 cruisers (100/100, 60 MP)
class 4:
1 mothership (0/1000, 320 MP)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
your class 2 vs enemy class 1: V ^
you:
92 destroyers
7 shield generators
enemy:
3020 penguins

7 shields generated
92 destroyers vs 92 penguins

258 penguins vs 86 destroyers
6 penguins vs 3 destroyers
7 penguins vs 7 shield generators
3 penguins vs 3 destroyers

losses:
you :
86 destroyers
7 shield generators
enemy :
92 penguins
score in this subbattle: -624
----------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
summary:
your losses:
class 2:
86 destroyers
7 shield generators
class 4:
1 mothership

enemy losses:
class 1:
92 penguins
score: -944

(I checked after the battle with probe, and the enemy fleet still had 2928 penguins)

First, from the way the manual reads "a stronger fighter, that destroys itself at the end of any fleet confrontations (caution! recycle!)", it sounds like all 3020 penguins should have recycled themselves. But at the very least, 274 penguins that fired on my ships have recycled themselves?!?!?!?????

Very confused

To Cody: There was in fact about 7 other enemy fleets there, but no other fleets from the same person (so no interfleet transfering)

To Luis: It's been about four hours, so it isn't probably lag time

Also, right before the battle I posted, the 3020 penguin fleet fought one of my fleets (at the same location) composed of a single commando-fighter, with me losing the commando-fighter and no losses on their side. There was also no spontaneous combusting penguins at the end of that battle either.

Just for the record, what should have happen. should all 3020 penguins that took on my brave brave commando fighter have recycled themselves? Or just the one lucky penguin that got that one lucky shot on my fighter?

Thanks for your quick responses

I think, but am not entirely sure, that the penguins recycle after they have fought all the fleets at a co ord at the same time. I am not sure this is how they are supposed to work, but I think it is how they do. I have not used them enough to test this theory though. But they should be gone by now I would have thought.

Whenever i have used Penguins, they always recycle after the first class 1 confrontation. Be it if only one Penguin was involved, all Penguins recycle. This is how it has been with me this round.

Oh boy,

Then it looks like there's a bug one way or the other, because 19 hours later and there's still 2928 penguins showing up on my DSP, I'll tell you in 5 hours whether it's my DSP that's incorrect (I hope ) Or whether I'm up to my ears in penguins

@pidjipi: Actually the first battle with my commando did have a class 4 battle. The class four battle consisted of his mothership vs my mothership and buildings. No recycle afterwards though because then another ally fleet fought him (ally was already defending at the planet), and he still had all his penguins including the one used to shot my commando.
*Please comment whether that constitutes a 'real' class 4 fight and whether he then should have recycled himself

The second battle I think had a class 4 battle. His class 3 ships killed my ally's class 4 mothership in the (class 4 vs class 3 battle)
*Please also comment on whether this would constitute a 'real' class 4 fight and whether his puggy penguins should have recycled themselves.

Another ally had a battle with him this morning, I don't know what his fleet composition was, but the penguins wiped out his destroyers and finally self-recycled. I'll ask him to send me the BR and I'll post it.

Anyone know an admin we can ask about this

One minute, let me see if I understand...
you fight against his base with penguis, 19 hours later you check the DSP and he got the penguins again?
then maybe he RECONSTRUCT his fleet in that time...

I had 2 fleets at my base(base and fleet 1). He bring those wobbling birds called penguins. The first battle is between him and my base(1 fighter, 1 mothership, and buildings). no recycle. Then the second battle is between him and my fleet 1(bunch of destroyers and mothership). Still no recycle. I check the DSP, he has all his ships minus the few the destroyers shot themselves

Then this morning, my friend sent another fleet (call fleet 3), and the fight the penguin fleet. Penguin fleet kicks his ass, but finally they recycle themselves. WEIRD!!!!

4/1 for 1 mp, that doesn't recycle. DEADLY. Kill 3 whole fleets. Probably still had over a thousand ships when it recycled itself too... I want some of my own

I also kept an eye on all the incoming in order to defend, so I know he didn't send a second fleet or something, with more penguins.
