my advise is: join an alliance!
it's in my opinion the best and fastest way to get common with the game.

Hi MVP and a big welcome ! If your new to the game as well as the forum, you will find it quite challenging and the possible combo of ships make some battles very interesting.
A good way to try stuff out "for free" (no points deducted and no tech development needed) is to go to the battle simulator. It's located on a planet at coords 470/497/46.
