This was the scene earlier this morning when CGC captured not just one flag but 2

And offcause lily celebrated this by doing her capture the flag dance.

Nice move CGC , This is what this war needed you finaly decided to fight . I hope this will go on for a while . Congratz on takin our flagg .

So I must ask, to XYZ... has the CGC proven themselves as a number 1 alliance???

It took XYZ (an alliance of veteran players) 4 tries with a point loss of 2K per trip to gain the CGC flag... while it only took the CGC ONE try and the points are EXACTLY the same as they were before the flag run was made... not to mention we also performed a double grab...

So I also must ask now, when will XYZ surrender...

Lilly these post made your alliance our Target you do 1 thing right and brag about it , but when you lose you complain vets bashing your newbie alliance

I was frustrated because our alliance is still learning how to organize and work together... and I was bragging about it because as spock said - thats part of the game - so I thought... not to mention you all seemed to throw out the attitudes that XYZ was 'invincible' and guess what we proved that wrong not to mention we definitely did it better then you - so why not brag when your the underdogs... and as for these posts being a target - Senor said we were targeted was because you all felt we 'farmed' our way to the top last era...

Here you wrong again , you want to be the underdog so badly you start believing it yourself . if an alliance can win an ERA they sure know how the game is played .so don't put yourself in the underdog position . you showed that you know how to play by takin both flaggs . I haven't been braggin onlypushing you into fighting back , loland you don't need to push us to fight we will vollunteerly ( sorry if it is written wrong )

farming up is 1 but braggin to be the best was my reason , wanted to see if you really where that good

After so much debating and doubting and pointing fingers, I have sat down to review the most recent events that have been happening...

I've come to realize that I was making a mistake by believing the CGC were 'underdogs'... as there really isn't any underdogs in this game... unless a player is BRAND NEW but even then they might come up with a combination of ships that could surprise the most experienced player...

I was primarily looking at the total amount of experience combined for both alliances... and it appeared to me to be overwhelming... I then began to point fingers at the veteran players, my alliance, and problems with the game... only to realize it was me that was in the wrong for thinking and believing this...

Last night's events of our double flag grab, was indeed living proof to me of how good the CGC really is and what we can do if we work together... it has also given me the much needed confidence I've been lacking...

With this, I do apologize to the community, XYZ, all veteran players and most importantly my alliance...

I hope you realize that, since this is a game, you might lose the flag again Then you might retake it, etc etc....

So it's all about feeling comfortable with playing. Sometimes you win, and sometimes (yes, even the best) you lose. Activity pays off, of course, and trying out different races. I now have experience with ships from all races, and that means I can sometimes guess what other players are up to. Sometimes I guess wrong

Reading the forums is probably one of the best ways to learn the game. Even better is to ask an experienced player.

Everybody knows that CGC gets advice from WFS. The difference between the newer CGC players and some other players with similar experience is that the CGC players actually listen, and figure out some ideas themselves. The downside is that the more active players really do prefer to win, and losing sometimes can be depressing

So, it's a lot of fun seeing how emotional everybody is getting. That means the game is considered to be about skill, otherwise most players wouldn't give a sh*t.

...like colin said, you lost the flag, you got it back, taking ours in the process, now, we gonna try to take it back too that's what this game is about, glad you realized that

very interesting and very important war for ST this is!
not only because CGC did the flag grab (well done btw), it's more the change in lilly's attitude!
looks like CGC has now a serious leader. no fear, just war.

The only thing XYZ has problems dealing with is CGC's insistent probe clicking trying to avoid battle.

Did CGC not see the thread where using this tactic was considered CHEATING !

CHEAT >>>CHEAT>>>CHEAT>>> CGC is CHEATING>>>
Oh admin....please change the rules...oh admin...please remove the probes from the game...CGC is CHEATING.
Oh admin...please make clicking the probe repeated times cause loss of points...CGC is CHEATING.

Oh Admin...I'm going to quit this game if you don't fix this bug .

we stopped clicking when you all said something in IRC

remember there is several players involved in this battle... so it could be a combination of all members clicking which could be clocking the battles... it's not just CGC...

And the battles continue at Monty's Flag base. Casualties are heavy on both sides. Under enormous pressure, CGC give up XYZ's flag and cash in on 3.43% of XYZ's score.
Battles continue to erupt and probe scrambling is heavy at the CGC FC.

What an exciting battle that is taking place!!!
CGC Reinforcments are being called up to assist CGC in keeping ahold of their own flag.
How will this turn out ?
Only time will tell

they managed to succeed with gaining the CGC flag once again... which means that we will have to just go retrieve it once again... but we weren't going to let the have the gratitude of bragging rights for a double grab...

NOT to mention The VETERAN alliance AGAIN takes a HUGE points loss going in for a flag.... unlike the CGC who can steal 2 flags without a point loss at all...
