i don't know why metody was telling about history(story) but i can say that in the roman age the roman had the best army, but macedonia had to "alejandro magno" that is the best strategic man of the world, but he never had fight against roma but..... BIZANCIO RULES!!!!!!! the greek fire is the best weapon to the age(epoca, no lo se decir en ingles :S)and only bizancio had it

Around 680 AD there was no Roman Empire, theese lands were ruled by Byzantium. The Alexander of Macedonia thing is long before that, by that time the Byzantines were ruling those lands also.

Khan Asparuh, who landed near the Black Sea, made an alliance with the 7 Slavian leaders and with the help of his brother, who was by that time in Macedonia destroyed about 60000 Byzantium army. After that Byzantium started paying tribute to us...
