We are planing to improve the colony game. It will be a sub game of spacetrace wich can be played with 3 extra vessels:
>>>colony ship (already existing)
troop transport (to carry defense structures and attack troops)
colony bomber (to bomard enemy colonies)
every colony will provide resources (wich will differ from planet to planet) lets say an average of 100, then every player will have 100 resources per planet the alliances has.
example if an alliance has 10 colonies with an average resource level of 100, every player will have 1000 resources.
resources are used to produce troops, defense structures and bombardmentstuff etc.
troops and defense structures stationed on a colony will consume resources.
colonies evolve by thenmself during time depending on varoius parameters, like war density, bomardment frequency, position in the galaxy etc. The evolution state of the colony will define the points it will give to the alliance.
many other options are planned, pls post your suggestions! |

I dont get it. Whats funny about sub game?

We wanna drag more people inot to spacetrace. i think the main reason for many people for not playing spacetrace is the complexity and the lack of expansion/empire building game play.
the idea is to add s simple fun thrilling game like this to st.
It is a sub game, but you still need fleets to cover your colony activities. If oyu cannot play ST very well, but you wanna play the colony game with your allaince, you need to recruit spacetrace vetrans to cover your empire expansions plans. this could be fun for all of us.
the creatures will be implemented to it someday, anyway it still needs many improvements first. |

This sounds very complex and yet at the same time pretty cool
good luck admin!
o and for suggestions/questions
1. Will this affect the main game play anyway what-so-ever? what i mean will some of the colony sturctures be able to help/hurt fleets on that colony?

1. this will affect normal game play only if you will join any kind of colony activity or you will be recruited by player who are involved in colony activity. Or... you attack colony players to gain points
2. it will be implemented very soon, weeks or months maybe (we started programing already). |
