thank you Scipio Africanus
it is better idea to actually sell something rather than just to expect donations
i understand spacetrace allready has a shop http://www.cafepress.com/spacetrace
adding my stories to the shop will do
A. Make me feel very proud and give me something to gloat about on job and college application
B. Hopefully bring in some money to the game
Perhaps when we impliment these new stories modes to the game play we could also sell clues to where the next chapter can be found also
and maybe everytime you complete a story mode you get 10 creidits and a star next to your name saying you've completed it or something like that
yes this can work
better than complaining and bitching all the time _________________ "Although the constant shadow of certain death looms over everyday, the pleasures and joys of life can be so fine and deeply affecting that the heart is nearly stilled by astonishment" - Dean R Koontz |

Dinsky has a really good point here about 2/3's or more of ST does not have a credit card numbeer to use.
A system of alternative payment is needed badly: a way to accept international money orders or jsut straight up cash as the amount is not that great and risk of loss in the mail or etc would not amount to much either. _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road

In the sense of promoting or other crap, this game will simply run by itself. Like most games it will attract enough people just by gamer communities, friends or g o o g l e.
About the financial side: The money they need right now is easily collected by the admins and probably some other people that donate once in a while.
So I think it is quite rubbish to publish books on SpaceTrace and other stuff. Matthew, you know yourself I like the things you've made and it is a nice way of keeping yourself busy in your free time. I've helped writing some pages on the history of SpaceTrace myself.
But am I really the only one rationally enough to realise that if, I would turn from a 12 year old nerd (addicted to online games and using chloroform on girls) in dire need of a creditcard to a 30 year old grown-up, that there was no way I was gonna spend money on an online game I can easily live without. _________________ Nulla poena sine lege.. |

Yes... very good point and I'll add...I would sooner risk a $20.00 bill inside a greeting card and mailed directly to the admin rather than give out a credit card number. You lose $20.00 in the mail...not a big deal however you lose a few thousand to fradulant credit card use, it is a big deal.
Please do not interpretet my statement that Admin would knowingly fraud the c.c. however, I'm extremely careful to where that number would go. Yep.... a $5.00 / $10.00 / $20.00 paper currency note in a card would be just as safe i think. |

Okay, new idea, PayPal is accesible to everyone with a bankaccount, no credicard needed, so, we send a an "paypal-e-mail" to admin, then he buys a book/other thing with his creditcard, if he has one, and sends it to you! so you don't have to risk sending a letter with 10/20 $ in it, just send a paypal e-mail. good idea? _________________

Ok, cool! I'll work on it on time, but I'll include some of Spacetrace forum carachters.
Maybe it should be, the full story of how the all the races strarted out, but it could be based mainly on a nanite's view.
Or, a massive war, called 'The war of all sides' or, in interent translated French ' admin wrote: | MicroJak wrote: | Off Topic a bit:

Please pm me your views, and if you want to be in it.
