Well i dont keep track of the rounds except that ive nearly been playing the game now for 3 years So im very knowlegable of this game.
Yes Connor and many other of the players are Vet's you may not have heard of them but players like Sir. Taz, Shade, KameKaze, Mighty, Base, Turiana, Lady Apple, Weylyn, Blackmagic, Lance, Rubens, MackMan, Big Matt, JaM, Case, Metody, Deathkiller and even Rob (Hes Still Around) and theres many more i could say they started the game and each round they acomplish new things, for instace the 2 main NZ's DavAllan and Renee Davis they do alot toghther and they perform some of the things many thought impossible in Spacetrace.

You will know when you have become a VET as you can put fear into people and you know how to score points even if you dont want to

I hope this has put abit of a clearer view on the topic.

Greetz, Evans.

I believe your knowledge about this game is quite a meaningless experience....

Besides, you can delete Turiana, Kamekaze and Mighty from that list.

Nice rankings Noxus.

Ok, well, I'm in my second evo, I havn't invented a ship yet, I have had about, 21 battles in my entire Spacetrace time, and I go on here round about an hour every day.

What ranking am I?

dude, no1 cares about ranking no offense microjak, the list goes to
noob- slow at learning game, loses most battles, doesn't know how to use fleets
semi noob-better learner, knows basics, doens't lose 100% or at least loses less points in each battle
semi novice- ok grip on game, wins some battles, loses most, knows basics, knows some moderate things
novice- knows most moderate things, knows the game decently, wins some, loses some, knows all the basics and most moderate things, also knows a few more complicated tricks and things, can read a good amount of ship syntax
semi vet- very good at game, knows wat he's doing, wins a large portion of battles, can read ship syntax and knows exactly wat it is, knows many of the things in game
vet- wins battles even wen odds are largely against them, knows exactly wat to do, can read most ship syntaxs perfectly, knows wat to do and wen, usually doesn't trash talk or spam (usually)

Mare, if you want an answer to your question, you'd better ask why nobody has become a pro player. There have been people doing that. For sure.
Imperial is nicely on his way for an example. He scores nicely but surely for loads to learn....

Oh and please don't think it takes ages to become a pro player. Just keep on thinking and playing. The best example that over 2,5 years of playing doens't make you a pro is lowvoice.

I totally forgott about Imp(srry dude wasnt intentional).
I know what takes to be a vet-pro player no needs for lists(but ilkernboy good list )I was simply pointing out that in 1.5 years of playing there wasnt even one player coming close to being pro player(IMP exluded).I saw you play and grow ingame Rob and saw you became very good player indeed and few of them as well. But not single player didnt collect half of Rubens knowledge since I joined here. All I see is rubish invention with rubish comments on them...like oh good it takes 5500 MP but lets implement it ingame...And on battlefield all you have to do is strike and win...no sweat, nothing.I could send out my fleets blindly to half of ST players and prolly score and I stink at The Game, yet alone unleash some Achilles guy...no need for words then.

Just read the manual so there wont be any impossibile capture the flag from 2 man alliances...

same people I had in mind with some others and yet noone plays anymore...where are those new good guys?
And many of those "proo"players scored heavily in their first or second round(era),now I know some guys playing for thier nt era and still cant manage to get out from - points.

I dont think you should rank someone by how longed theyve played but by how well, some people ma play the game for years and still not have
much a clue, some people may pick up the game really quciklly

one sign of being good, is that u usually don't admit ur good eraer. Also, you don't have to intentionally use bad grammar and such so don't spam.

Lastly, when you think about it, all vets eventually will get bored of this game due to knowing it too well. And they all have their own lives so they're busy and they can't play anymore. That's what probably happened.

To become a good player, when youre a noob is just read BR's,learn from br's when youre score is not what u thought it would be, read about the function's of ships u can build. Ask noob helpers, there are some FAKE-helpers, they only want the credits to build a WH, but there are enough helpers who can really help u.

And dont become a multi, it wont help learning the game.

Good players and bad players is all subjective but IMHO a player is effective when he / shie is able to take out fleets using about 1/2 the mp or less as even a one day noob can overwhelm.

IMHO good players:
1) Dont need all their mp with them to hit an oppossing force.
2) Talk very little and only when something needs to be said.
3) Will never claim to be good but, let others put that label on him / her.
4) If a leader will be one of the 1st in on a target, not the last or a total non-participant.

and bad players:
1) lose to less mp most of the time.
2) Take their "war" to the forum as they cant do it ingame correctly.
3) Will make constant claims of how good and etc they are.
4) if a leader will send members to a target while he / she hits empty bases and lets the others take the losses.

I dont consider multi's players so, not gonna say whether they are good or bad since they are abberations in the game IMHO multi's are probably not even good people to know or meet up with.

When you understand battle order, you are no longer a newb.

When you understand how all the ships work in your chosen race and can combo them effectively or can use them in new, innovative ways, you are a pro. Being a Pro also involves knowing "battle Pause" warfare. That stuff is really interesting.

When you can do that with any race, I guess you would be a Vet. Some people have naturally good "battle sense" and are able to read the opponent fleet fairly accurately. A good pro could kick the tar out of an average Vet.

Many players fall into the first category. And then there are Pro's like Dave & Renee. Of course ther are Vets like Achillies who also has impeccable battle sense. He would be a Veteran Pro as would Metody and Conner.

Myself, I would consider myself part of the general masses, master of no races and continually learning new ships and uses for them. Due to the lengthy research times, I never get to try many of the ships available to a perticular race. Therefore , it takes a long time to get to pro status.

I have no fear however of many of the " Vet's" listed in the earlier posts
During the TO war, my most favorite battle was with Shade where we played cat & mouse for a considerable time and then fought essentially to a draw.
Am I a Vet or a Pro however...no way...not even close !

A few considerations for Davalan:
Talking about skills
There are enough people being cocky and all proud of there skills while they suck.
But there are some that simply are cocky cause they have all the rights to be.

Posting results of your war.
Well it seemed to be a bit fun and well lots of people suddenly did it but as soon as somebody whom everybody looked up too said it was useless and said let's fight ingame, suddenly everybody followed the opinion.
If something is stupid, it is being like the big grey masses of anonymous people.

evans, as imp's sig says, it's not about how long u played it, it's how u play it (ok i'm not word for word)

skill does come with time, but it doesn't make u the best of the best automatically
