one feature we think of is, that you could choose your battleorder for your fleet before the battle is solved.
it would be like that, that you choose "battle with batttleorder, if possible"-mode for your fleet, and if the other player has his fleet in this mode too, then you both will get a menu, where you can choose the order of every ship or shipgroup before you start the battle.
if someone has not set this mode, then the battle will start the old way |

could that be used as a fight blocking tool between those choosing battle order and those that do not?
Sounds to me like it could effectively stop a battle from happening if 1 side chose to engage or not engage.
Sorry...I am a little apprehensive only because I am not bored with the current battle order. So many times I wanted to change the battle order but the inability forced me to think of other ways to achieve my objective.
I Sure would love to be able to jump instantly into the battle simulator against someone else if I was to issue or be issued a challenge to/by someone. We would both have to be online of course and the challengee would have to accept or decline.
yea...a special button to push that would directly challenge someone to an instant confrontation in the battle Sim. Could you split your battle order there but remain standard within the game ?
If this sound silly...I appologise...it's throwing out weird ideas to spark other ideas that may be actually worth considering |

this is a brilliant idea it will allow the experienced tacticians to fight eachother and become even better whilst if you do not like the mode you just switch it off and nothing's wrong

I wonder how would this work against multiple fleets.You would randomly fight one guys so it doesnt matter much what you set up to go off first couse second or third fleet would smash you.

Ya, Im a little confused on how exactally its going to work.
Do you set the order in which you want your ships to attack in advance and then attack someone?
But it sounds like if both people have that mode set then when the fleets contact, nothing happens. Because "thats" when you get a menu and arrange the battle order.
This would mean you have to be online or else your fleet will just sit there waiting for you to arrange it.
and as for multipe fleets. Im guessing that after one fight its turned off and the battle order is random again because your set order will be messed if some ships were destroyed.
Inless its arranged on the spot and there is another delay where you reset the battle order if the second person has the mode on.
(This would be fun but you HAVE to be online)
OR, the first battle is arranged on the spot and any others are random.
Im thinking the best way is to have it arranged ahead of time and it only works on one opponent if more than one. |

Starwind...It is for these reasons you and Failtrip1 outline that I thought a trial period in the battle simulator may be helpful to get any potential bugs worked out.
I'll wait patiently to see how it evolves. |

Well the admin have not pronuntiated but i think you guys are wrong, and not as an opinion.
From what i understad it would work like this
You have an extramenu which gives you the posibility of choise the battle order. With mass of different ships in the same class you may last 30 min doing so i think everyone will end using this in an extreme case of necessecity(negative reason nÂș1)(if implemented).
Then IF just choise a battle order (FOR EACH FLEET AND/OR BASE) you will be able to fight ONLY another fleet and/or base that has a battle order chosen
This of course generates incongruences, 1 if you can fight any fleet or base with or without a battle order you are reciving an advantadge just because you are paying, 2 if you choise the battle order of just 1 fleet and you are attacking with 2 they will fight totally different(negative reason n2)
Then...lets think about it, can anyone find 1 BR of your last 5 in which using a battle order(suposuing the enemy used 1 too and it stayed as the same BR) you could win 500 or more points that the ones you got in that BR? (Negative reason n3)
Negative reason n4...it divides the battle between users and think about stealing a flag and then choising a battle order when the flag's alliance is not paying anything
Negative reason n5 YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS:S:S
PD: Those negative reasons ARE my opinion and i just want to express them without altering anyother user's opinion
@Starwind...read your own better a little more...a pause before the battles occurs? it has no sense....first you will destroy the real time thing of the game and second you are saying you may choise a battle order looking at enemy's fleet which need also to has a battle order chosen? this way nobody win extrapoints by battle order.

If every reads Admins opening post it sounds like there would be a pause where you arrange the order. I know this would not work so I suggested it be arranged ahead of time. Thats probabally what he meant. Sorry.
@Rubens, Im hoping it can be setup so that it wont take 30min to arrange
In resopnse to rubens negative reasons:
There is "almost" no fleet setup that cannot be improved by arranging the battle order. If this is implemented, I will use it almost every time.
It only provides an advantage for paying players against "other paying players" If your attacking with 2 fleets you will want to set the order in both.
Winning more points is the whole purpose for this.
THiS CANNOT BE USED AS A BLOCK. If your stealing a flag and you have the order set and he doesnt, The battle will be random order as usual. If you have stolen a flag and you have the order set and he doesn't, When he attacks you the battle will be random order. This goes for anyone which is why I cant think of a single reason why this shouldn't be added. If you dont like it, dont use it.
(or sometime if you have basic attacking ships, the order doesn't matter)
Space trace needs at least 30$ a month and this could get that.
And ya, it will take a while for it to be set up, Im waiting too. |

But first i do think impossible what you are saying it has no sense...you can not have a pause before the battle it would be another game almost
1-Here you are wrong my friend....ANY fleet setup cant be improved if you dont know the enemy's fleet is about the battle situation when you never know and you may need another battle order vs other fleet, gotcha? And IF you could improve your fleet search a BR and tell me i fyou find 1 in which you win uch more pts with battle order.
2- Mmmm My bad, from what you are saying i think i am wrong...Sorry about my mistake i thought it does works like a block. So anyplayer can attack and depending about if it has battle order or not they will battle randomly or not, right?
3-Now i dont think i am going to use it either:P...but anyway how much would this cost?

I strongly suggest NO advantages to be given out to people who pay this game.
That would be a downright shame, ruining the fairness of the game.
I remember I came up with something like this a few months ago when an attack that was mostly based on luck went wrong. But I came with this when I was in a very bad and emotional mood.
Come on guys, if you really think about this in a rational way, you can all agree with me that this would be very unfriendly to other players.
You can decide to have battle order, but the other one can't disagree on you using that. The only way he could try to outreach the effect is by activating it himself.
The game is balanced as it is now, and some quite powerfull setups have got the drawback that they rely on the factor of luck. Getting this factor out would de-stabilise the game and would need serious changes to ships.
This is a far more decisive change then anything else I've ever seen.
Please all be carefull about this.

I agree, no advantages for paying.
But when you really think about this, its not really an advantage, its just a more advanced way for 2 people who pay a little to have a battle. One person will win one will lose. Its still luck and skill that deturmens if you win. Luck because you dont know how they set theirs up.
The only unfair thing is that some people will miss out on how fun it will be.

I think he was just asking if this thing should be implemented.So my reply went to this being just one of the game upgrades.
Rubens your concerns is mostly about mass fleet fights which admin didnt explain how would that work so he left us in dark about this.About using this to improve your point gain maybe if you put some retreat to go off first or hammer etc.But i dont find it attractive enough to use it.I like the way it is and see no fun in it.
How i understand this would work is you setup your fleets,activate your BO and set it up.In first battle contact if nothing is changed ships go of like they were set up.No pause before battle.Its like you divide your MP betwen your fleets and you get attacked.No battle pause that will enable you to rearrange ships.So this would work similiar.
