apollo cruiser (class 3 ship)
this ship does 10 damage to ten class 2 ships
attack/life: 0/100
What does the attack 0 mean in this case? _________________ Phoenix? But its a dry heat!! |

the 0 means that if it does get invovled with another class for example class 1 it will not fire anything at it as it is made to destroy class 2 ships _________________ APEmpire |

I dont think so, not exactly, it means that it could get a turn without attacking directly to a ship.. Either way it could have 0,1 or -2 of ap but it will destroy c2 if it has a turn |

What the hell, why not then put 10/100? That zero is throwing me off. It looks to me that it does not attack at all because its a 0. (I know that this is not the case) but on other ships you see a 100/100 such as the cruisers. _________________ Phoenix? But its a dry heat!! |

When a ship gets it's turn, it applies its ap to it's target, and does any special features.
When a ship with 0 ap gets it's turn, it does just that, attacks for 0 points. It also does any special features assigned to it.
A ship with 0 ap can still be modified to attack, if it has a "fight" command. A wasp, for example, will make a 0 ap ship into a 5 ap ship.
Even a mothership has a fight command. |

So in the case of my apollo cruser, it will not attack directly, but will do 10 damage to 10 class 2 ships. (being that is its special feature) Is that correct? 10 times 10 is 100, so should it not then be 100/100?
damn not sure i'm getting all this, I think I am getting more confused. I am frustrated because I'm tring to learn how to put fleets together for specific targets as defined by a dsp. but still am getting whacked in battle. Probably because I don't understand this ap/mp deal. _________________ Phoenix? But its a dry heat!! |

AP-attack points how much damage does one ship do
LP-life points how much life points does ship has
MP-man power how much manpower need it for ship, and this is not same as LP
cruiser
AP-100,LP-100,MP-60
so for killing cruiser you need 101 fighters,if cruiser shoots first,he will kill fighter with 100AP,and fighter will be left with -99LP.All other 100 fighter with 1 AP will shoot cruiser till its destroyed.
If ship doesnt have AP,have some other special function. In case of apollo, let say enemy fleet has:
1-20-0-1 all basic ships
your fleet:
0-0-1-1 one apollo
becouse your apollo doesnt have any AP he cant kill fighter, but when he does get turn,he does 10 damage to 10 class 2 ship.So in first subbattle your apollo sustain 1LP loss and enemy 10 destroyers loss.In second battle your apollo lose another 10LP and enemy loses another 10 destroyers which ends second subattle.
Same is with others special ships. They cant kill ship directly but when they get to shoot they will do desired task no matter in which subattle are fighting.
Hope this helps a little bit |
