no, only for german and english, there is a shortname
(we changed that later, but its too much work to change that now)
the manual shortnames are:
de=german
en=english
spanish
french

finnish
dutch
swedish
danish
portuguese
bulgarian
czech
greek
slovak
...
but i think french, spanish and german is enough for now
only the technologies would make no problems in other languages too, to add rhem to the manual in this structure:

so this is correct:
$translation["en"]["french"]["holo technology"]="Technologie holographique";
$translation["en"]["kroat"]["holo technology"]="Ba Che Chudno Mjesto To";

and i think we need some help to translate the german introduction to english, coz we have enough things to do here.
also maybe someone english native could have a look at the new story in english, there are probably still some mistakes in it.

And is there any japanese there?

i inserted all translations into the manual so far.

(maybe you have to empty your browser-cache to see the changes , cause the manual-pages are spesially marked as cacheable)

and our email is translation@spacetrace.org

(not , that would be a nice domain : http://www.space.org )

I'd happily help you out sometime when/if you need a Danish section. Most urgently however you need a native English person to check out the current english texts - right now they're filled with typos and grammar errors, at points even hard to comprehend

Hello, hola
I would just like to say, that whoever is translating for Spanish, it's kinda lame...
It shouldn't be de Usted, but Tu!
I mean, why should it be politly spoken, when this is a violent game?
Just my thoughts, and not every spanish speaking player in the game is South American, but also Spaniards (Spain), so it should be translated in two versions, Spanish Traditional Sort, and Spanish Weird Sort(South American).
In Spain, an "aged"(old) person is spoken to with respect, but not 16 year olds, or 20 year olds, so i don't mean to offend anyone, but get a grip!
well, see ya!

oh, and Pablito Aponte, i don't like your technology translations, they are very lame, if i have some time, i'll fix them

Instead of insulting others work do it yourself
and if you dont know almost all the manual most be polite with the user what did you want to say bad words in every paragraph
and also the sapnish in south america and the spanish in spain is almost the same and the translation i did is readable for both parts of the well
and for last i may said you i translated everyword in the original manual so is the same manual so in spanish if you dont like dont read it and do another one and post it in another page for people who care.

let's not get out of control, because the Admin will lock the forum.
I'm just saying, that it is kinda lame, that's all, and no need to get over upset.
Now the ship's names should be the same, but the only thing that has to be translaed, is the description. Also, the technologies, should be translated, and the descripton.
Calm down a bit, and relax
take a breath
hold it...
hold it...
hold it...
release
are you calmed down yet?
Ahora, piensate un poco porque estas tan enfadado, y contesta tranquilamente. No estoy rechazando tu trabajo, lo unico que he dicho, es que tu traduccion es un poco aburrida.

first of all - nobody is lame.
it is a lot of work to translate all this, so a great Thank You to everyone who helps us.

as we don`t speak very good spanish, nor french, we have to rely on your translations and it would be nice if everyone just makes constructive suggestions, like "i think it would sound better if you use 'tu' instead of 'usted'" for example. (by the way, i cannot find any "usted" in the translations so far. is it only the grammar, that implys an "usted"?)

i think for the moment it is not so important to have a perfect manual.
it should be like this, that everyone finds some help here for playing SpaceTrace.

so if you have suggestions for parts, that could be translated better, just post them here.
about the technology-names: if they sound funny, maybe we should just translate some of them, that dont sound so strange translated.
but you have to tell us, which.

thats nice.

and for the technology translations , i have an idea:
the technology-names, that sound ok in that language should have this structure:
Quote:
$translation["en"]["spanish"]["fighter"]="ok";

In the Batallas screen in the Spanish edition of the manual, when the example Reconstruccion, there is a spelling mistake:

<<Reconstrucción
Una nave reconstructora reanima a una nave deshabilitada (naves con 0 de vida). Naves con menos de 0 de vida son totalmente destruidos y no se pueden reconstruir.
Ejemplo:
- un destroyer que fue atacado por un destroyer tiene 0 de vida y puede ser reconstruido.
- Un fighter atacado por un Tagle (2/10) no puede ser reconstruido por que queda en -1 de vida. >>

What is a "Tagle (2/10)"?
Do you mean eagle?
