I have a very dark thought however - even if/when JaM (or some1 else) writes that program which will make the rounds fully automated, so it takes only the press of a key to end one round and prepare the next... I doubt that admin will go back to rounds.

For one and only reason - evolution is his own idea. With all resulting consequences

I mean, take a look back - we've been shouting "Give us back the rounds!" for about as long as evo's been around. And admin never even said - "Ok, you want rounds? Fine! But only if I don't have to put in more effort than with the evo. You figure a way".

When I started we had 600 players, the maximum. ST is addictive, but not everyone enjoys it.

Back then we blamed the lost of players to cheaters and evolution. Now we do the same + CtF. I think SpaceTracers are just bored because of the never-ending-round, no fair competition.

I thought up CtF 1.5 year ago, because ST was becoming boring (according to my analysis because of evolution, but no way admin was going to change that, and Spyder and I made lots of good arguments why). Also there was no way to make a statement to another alliance, BH was always the way to do such things, but that thing was just too far away, and there were more scoreplanets. I remember the The Privateers (2 years ago) held 1 planet for over a month with 1 single fighter.

So I designed CtF and implemented, only positive things about it in forum. Also after it CtF was used with (I thought) pleasure. ('It' was not so succesive though). Achilles is here right, we made the changes, not the admin.

I think CtF (and It also in a way) changed the gameplay perhaps a bit too much, I personally think Metody has a good idea with the ticks, don't know why I didn't think about it back then. (BTW you forgot Troopers in the list of changements)

Personally experience says that not much changes will occur. Most of SpaceTrace 2 I made. And they were not very time consuming in programming.

Not very positive, but perhaps you must make a statement to admin and leave. This isn't a problem of this moment, this problems exist longer.

With regards,

JaM

The troopers are more needed by the influention of the CTF.
First i have to say this. What the hell is the IT? Who really cares? it dosnt makes any change at the game is totally useless.

As i said in other posts CTF wasnt aprobed by me, cuz i dont really like but i know it aint such a bad change. I just think that was added at the wrong moment. At the rounds it woulb more usefull.

Yep i held the pulsar with a scout:D And thats an argument for me to say that just the BH is needed.

Anyway, we can blame noob, ourselves, admin...etc But i think that as the admin is the ADMIN he has to read this and has to understand what we are saying.

WE DO NOT WANT ROUNDS PLZ!!!

You could be right, but then the whole game is his idea, so I dont think that is likely, also the player intitiated stuff is also his idea, I think the main reason they are against rounds is the extra work involved, I dunno how you get around that

as long as the work is done with a keyboard and/or mouse, it could be automated.

Was me, forgot to log in.

I dont think its a money issue, a time issue. Thats why the possiblity of a Jam initiated auto round thing sounds interesting.

I play a game called Runescape and they have like 811020 people online at a time! There is more to do there, that is what we need here.
