This question is mostly for the Spacetrace administrators...I know that players are given a hunt score for encountering 'It' of The Travellers...but what about Dominion encounters? I have a few questions concerning Dominion.
1) It seems possible to defeat him...all that is needed is one evaporator. Is it possible?
2) He completely destroys planets...so, does Dominion visit players who decide to quit the game? Is that how you find him?
Admin: If you don't mind, is there anyway for you to reply to this post by sending me a private message, rather than public? _________________ Death is but a step in life, I'm here to give you a hand... |

nope the apostatsphere cannot be beaten, it has been before, but the admin changed the prefrences round again. Because the evap is inefective agaisnt the Apostate and btw, you dont score anything for beating it
Hope that answers your question _________________ APEmpire |

Star commander is right. Here is evaporator vs. habitat sphere. I think result would be same against apostatsphere.
your class 1 vs enemy class 1: V ^
you:
9 evaporator
enemy:
1 habitat sphere
8 evaporator vs 1 habitat sphere
9 habitat sphere vs 9 evaporator
losses:
you :
9 evaporator
enemy :
-
score in this subbattle: -108
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
summary:
your losses:
class 1:
9 evaporator
enemy losses:
-
score: -108 |

Well, it was there 9 months ago. It takes a few weeks to get there at warp 5. |

Spacetrace Administration:
An unbeatable fleet such as Dominion's is unfair. Supposing that it only visits bases whose players have cancelled their game accounts, I present you with this situation:
I was attacking the base of a player, and I did not know that he was cancelling his account. Now, if that is indeed the way that Dominion operates, I feel that it is unfair that in the midst of my attacks on this player, Dominion comes in and not only wipes out this player's base and planet, but my fleet as well. I did nothing to deserve this defeat. All I was doing was playing the game. Now, if Dominion is going to be a part of spacetrace and its purpose is to destroy cancelled accounts, I suggest that it has some sort of program that it will only fight against the base it was sent to destroy and not any unlikely player who happened to be attack that base at the moment that Dominion shows up. I feel very strongly about this because I lost more than 4000 points because of an unlucky, chance encounter with Dominion...please find some way to fix this.

well the dominion works likethis, once you reach 100% you get attacked and your base is taken out by the Dominion then your whole planet is enslaved _________________ APEmpire |

the idea of the Dominon is a game over state, the goal of the game is to get eth highest score you can before your time runs out, which is counted by your evolution state _________________ For Death and Honor!!!!!

I'm not suggesting destroying Dominion...it just shouldn't have any effect on players that have not reached 100% evolution yet. You see, I was attacking a player's base who HAD reached 100% (I was unaware of this) and I happened to run into Dominion and lost many points because of this. I would really appreciate a response from the ADMINISTRATION OF SPACETRACE. _________________ Death is but a step in life, I'm here to give you a hand... |

Ok, everyone stop explaining how Dominion works! We've beaten that to death.
To answer your question. I'm not on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I need sleep too. I happened during the time that I was not online. And no, you cannot see it on DSP because it has cloaking capabilities. Do your research before you attempt to make me look like an idiot.
And once again. I am not asking for player's comments at the moment, I want a direct response from THE ADMIN!!!

This is not your concern Failtrip...so please, with all due respect: butt out. You cannot speak for the administration. All I ask is that the administration replies to the things I have said, even if their answer is "too bad for you." Its a matter of respect. _________________ Death is but a step in life, I'm here to give you a hand... |

i do think you are an idiot.
First of all try to accept the devices of the other people.
If you want to speak with the admin YOU can send him a private message so dont put this in here asshole
Maybe you are an other noob upset beacuse he lost somepoints, and that we may have to understand. But you have to accept what other people says.
Its a fact that is better fighting when you are online.
And i think is false..you CAN SEE the dominion at the DSP, so sorry for you.
If you dont have dsp you have to live with that.
How did you know that the account reached the 100 percent of evo
was it another of ur account?
If he was a top player and you see that he reached his evo you should know that the dominion was going to that planet... |

It is true that you can see Dominion on a DSP, but not until it arrives at a planet, you cannot see it while it is moving.
I am not a nOOb, please do not accuse me of such things. As you can see in my profile, I've been a member since Nov. 2004
I was not aware that the Administration could be contacted through PMing, because I have never had a situation in which I needed direct communication with the Admin.
I was unaware that my opponent was at 100% evolution, I assumed that fact in my last couple of messages because of what other players had said (Dominion only attacks players that have reached 100%). Please do not accuse me of being a multi unless you have some solid proof.
I do accept what other people say, but all anyone was doing was restating what other players had already posted on the subject and that is unnecessary. |

Failtrip, it was rude of you to imply my stupidity with questions such as: "why did you go in if Dominion was there?" I would not have gone had I known what he was capable of. You want respect? Treat others with it. _________________ Death is but a step in life, I'm here to give you a hand... |

This has been discussed before, lastly by base, who was upset cos he lost points.
I have had fleets stranded at evolved allies the same way.
There is nothing you can do about it. If you get caught by the dominion, you lose, so you try not to get caught, by being online when you are about to land somewhere. _________________ Space Mercenaries Inc.
