I am forming a new alliance.
I would like experienced playes BUT
if you are a noob and have not been seriously attacked yet (i.e. score is at least 0 or close) I think it would be great if you could join. Then more experienced members can suggest to you how to set up your fleet, which tech tree to follow etc so that you dont get attacked too badly and can become well defended. I want this alliance is to be a coorporative alliance with good communication between members.

I am looking to create an alliance which will be strong in the long term. For the moment scores do not matter to me but experience and tech do.
If you already have a TWG built you would be doubly welcome.
It means better defense of each other and we will be able to share experience. Also defending each other means we will loose less points against multiple fleets.

William seems that u and me are tired of this re-open topic.
So i propose that each time some idiot comes to spam we spam other topic, so this would be never important.
Admin limit topics in this category!! at least just 1 per week

To WiliamWalace

Whats up with u!

I understand the bit about the spaming. So I wont be adding new calls. But I think I only did two topics. My fault is that I should have combined them!

BUT

If I want to create an alliance and people wish to join (which they have - tho causing my and the alliance score to drop along way) but I dont think you should have any say in it. I mean at this point we're not going to knock you or your alliance off the top spots are we?

So whats your quarrel? Are you that arogant or does it seem like you have an inferiority complex or something?
Stop being such a baby Why dont u chil out and let people play the game

Honestly, though, Rhynar does have a point, and that is that he is trying to play.

YES, an alliance headed up by a noob will likely fail.
YES, forum recruitment is not effective.
YES, it is irritating to see the same type of posts over and over, every time somebody new joins.
YES, he should probably shut up, be quiet and read, listen, and watch and learn.

HOWEVER! I do believe that Spacetrace is a fairly tight knit community, and we are possesive of our game, and that reflects in our hostility to noobs. We have less than 300 players right now, and I think that is partially due to us barking at and intimidating the new players.

If we play nice, tolerate the b.s., and just help them out, this game could be up to a thousand in no time.

I bet Rhynar will be gone in a couple of weeks, and that is too bad. In six months, he probably could have been top ten.

Ah well...

Dude, the ones that have last for more than a year in this game have 1 thing in comun, READ THE RULES AND THE MANUAL.
Patience, that's all u need, this is not an easy game.
He is the noob so he should listen and DOES what we say. He can make an alliance why not? but he cant post 3 topics with the same objevtive
NO, there arent 3 diferent alliance
NO, there arent diferent requisites
NO, he didnt change the name of alliance
And believe, those 300 players is not old players's tolerance is just the game...

Dude, I may only have officially joined the forum recently but I have been playing spacetrace since May. (I can see that WiliamWalace joined the forum then...but...he was probably playing the game well before....I suppose??Mmm ).

As for reading the manual thats exactly what I have been doing!. You are right the problem with noobs is that they dont read the manual or look on the forum. That is why I wanted to start this alliance. Since I started the alliance I have been putting all the tips I have learnt on alliance round messages. I know that they WILL be read by all. And I have had great encouragement from my alliance members for this. The problem is that much of the time we have other things going on in our lives rather than spacetrace! So for time management reasons some noobs may not look at the manual or forum only their own ingame messages...and be killed easily...and so they get bored of the game!

BUT AS FOR:
>'but he cant post 3 topics with the same objevtive
>NO, there arent 3 diferent alliance
>NO, there arent diferent requisites
>NO, he didnt change the name of alliance'

Come on I have appologised once already!
Yre right there is only 1 alliance not 3
and no I didnt change the name of the alliance
........
BUT I said that there were only TWO topics posted by me (I checked) and I appologised for doing that. Try to read the all of a message before trying to shoot a person down!

@ Rhynar, I am sorry. I overreacted a little. But I was just getting completely mad about 20 new topics each day of recruiting.

I know you arent a n00b and you've been around for a while.

Everybody has got the right to create their own alliances, but sometimes it is too much. Plz first pay a visit to a good alliance. Dunno if you've done allready. Then after a week or 2 you know how the whole thing works and you are free to get your own.

This is just a lil recommendation what you'd do first before getting youw own. As Achilles said, it idd looks like we are a bit negative towards n00bs, but I just recommend they dont jump in the deep but are a bit protected at first and learn the game from within an alliance.

About me, I was hacbloc ( with my stupid invention in september ) later on 13ier and beer from the cold fridge in nov/dec/jan when I started to rebel against TO and I thought if I just made enough multi accounts I could outnumber them and win.

In feb/march I had Brutus and was really annoying, BUT I did have a few nice battles against Steven and together with Dark Rider we rocked space.

In march/april/may I had my account Elder and the big fights with Turiana happened, but I was finally becoming experienced, cause it was my first account I made good score without multiing.

And now I am williamwalllace.

Thanks Wil

I new that you were already experienced just from seeing you on the top ten. I hope there are no hard feelings for this silly exchange of words.

By the way just to reflect what you said, in my first reincarnation I was with ISA for a while. That was my trial run at ST. This time I first joined the megas (who later disbanded and changed names). It was then that I created this alliance. We may be really low down in the alliance stats but scores dont matter in ST since we are all on a level playing field with the same mp. Only experience matters .... and a good ability at strategy. I think once my alliance gets going we have the capability of rising through the ranks.

Now I think I'l post a topic for new type of ship. I've had a couple of great ideas.
