Discuss here yourfavourite Genre of Music and your favourite song (if you have one)
My favourite kind of music is definately Rock and I honestly cannot chose a favourite but some of the best bands and artists have to be
Nirvana, Metallica, Jimmy Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, Marylyn Manson (Im not a goth), Green Day, The Killers, Korn ect. ect.
And Yes, I do have long hair, but I dont have all spikes and shit on me, which means I am classed as a Grunger/Mosher and not a goth.
So go on discuss discuss discuss. _________________ Calvin: I'm a genius, but I'm a misunderstood genius.

people look at me, and instantly box me as another geniric rock fan but i live for rap, hip hop, jazz, funk, techno, some aspects of dance music and electro as most of the irc regulars will say i can provide you with outstanding examples of each
so i will compile a list of band/groups/colabrations that are worth listing if you whish to expand your musicial horisions
if you are looking for something with a nice ragga/beat:
get a some http:\\www.rootsmanuva.co.uk Roots Manuva, the first album Brand New Second Hand, takes pride of place on my music server, i recomend the song 'Movements', 'Motion 5000' and 'Soul Decay'
if you are looking for the some of the finest sounds of underground hip hop from london:
see roots manuva
OR
get some Ty (not T.I, you stupid wiggers) http://www.bigdada.com/artist.php?id=33 He does some of the finest rap arround, got a wonderful flow and even better word play, i recomend 'Ha Ha' and
if you are a massive rock fan but want to see if hip hop can have the same level of meaning in the music:
You NEED Saul Williams, he is a increadable poet and his album 'Amythist Rock Star' is a mind opening experance, i can recomend the songs 'Tao of Now' and 'Our father'
if you like your music random
DJ Format's Album 'Music For The Mature B-Boy' is for you, its an album of some of the finest beats, and rap in the whole of hip hop
if you want to be on the cutting edge of rap, listing to music so rare i can guantee unless your freinds have read this, they wont know who it it
Circle Resarch, 2 DJs from toranto, canada. who produce are responcable for arguably the best produced album of 2004 'Mulligan Stew'
if you like that kinda sound just look for artists from canda, as the music from there is much less' Busting my G- Cap Gunzizzler in yuo Face' and more intelegent
before you think i havent listend to the comcial 'hip pop' dont worry, i have and i know most of the album tracks of every major player in comcial hip hop so please dont come to me and shout at me for not listing to it before i judge it,
if you want to talk music, want some of these songs or just want to get more im Case on irc (go figure) and im happy to give out music in the quest to spread the finer music, i know many many more groups like that, that is just all i could be botherd to wright about atm |
