Extra fleets = extra programming = more work.
For what exactly, how many players would use their extra troops for the tournament??

you didn't read right, you can only use the mp on your xtra shipyard, which has its own mp... and the more programming thing, you would have that anyway

If done by ourselves:
(1) No proper reward
(2) Our bases left undefended.
But it would be fun.
Give it a few weeks though.

Sounds nice.
But no reward for the losers. Otherwise people apply but dont build a single fleet, theydo nothing and earn 100 points.
You'd better organise it yourself. I dont care about the points. If u want points: send loads of mosquitoes/motherships at yourself.
If u are a bit smart, u would know it isnt about points.
It is about respect that u get by winning the tournament. That should be the reward that u get. That should satisfie u.
U guys should more think like that.
