I think we should be able to try and stop fleet (by battling) from reaching planets

good idea... like scanners pick up the coords of it and there is a link next to it saying intercept, then you chosse which fleet to send... and click ok. good idea i think.

You can do this (kind of) by attacking the player with fleets invaders.

Oh that would be so cool.
It would give you a chance to save your allies.
But if the leet gets ahead of you.
Then you cant stop it until you reach your allies planet.
I am all for it!
Admin i think this should be added
Nice idea fleetleader.
And MERRY CHRISTMAS |

maybe this is simpler: you have 3 sections outer rim, middle rim and inner rim. you can place your fleet in either of them, first to fight is outer rim, second is middle rim third is inner rim then the base fleet fights. what u guys think??(other players can put their fleets in one of the rims round the planet also)

No, other players have to fight themselves through the outher rim to get to the middle rim. And so on. That should be better. |

thats what i meant after all the battles the other players (if the survive) can then set their fleets to a rim. allies don t battle and therefore can set their fleets when they arrive.

Okay, this rim idea is very good.
But i have something that could be added.
Now, i am going to try and say this in the easiest possible way:
Every planet is apart of a planetary system:
If you look at a player you have a choice of see latest attacks on this player, and View planetry system.
Now every little planet in that system is at the same coords. Basically those planets are moons of your planet.
So:
You could choose where to place you defence fleets, which moon?
So an attacking fleet will attack the first moon first, and engage any fleets there.
Next it will attack the next moon (but unfortuantely you did't put a fleet there) and will capture and will proceed to the next moon, until eventually it will reach the base fleet.
What is good about this, is there could be planets not even One lightyear from you captured by the enemy.
And thus, we have created impulse engines.
This means that your ships can travel inside these rims at impulse power(or sublight power).
All i am basically saying is, instead of calling these rims, rims make them the planets that surround your planet.
I hope somebody can understand this idea and can translate for me better. lol
Admin, What do you think?
Merry Christmas to All! |

yes that idea sounds alot better addition to the rim but the thing is wouldnt the admins have to add sub cordinates in order to allow traveling in your own system?

lol I think that would be WAY too much work for the admins, nice idea though The three rims sound nice even withou sub cords thoug and I bet that even that would need alot of programming? maybe?

I dont know if it is possible, but it is a very good idea. What I and methi said before, is good.
U can choose in which rim u deploy your fleets, but the enemy cant choose which to attack first. He firstly attacks the outer rim, then the middle rim, then the inner rim. |

Raynor,
Rather than going through the trouble of sub-coords all you need to do is have a little button next to your fleets saying, deploy in planet, and then you have the choice of planet 1,2 or three ect.
When you have selected this you click modify and and where it says speed it will say full impulse or sub-light if you prefer.
If your fleet is travelling to the first planet it will take 1 minute, the next 2 minutes ect ect.
However, i agree with kever, If this is too much programming we could always do something simpler.
Merry Christmas to All! |
