Should we get rid of "it" and add something more exciting?

I have an idea admin, how about adding this idea alongside "it" of travellers and we can have both.
But the thing is we could make it fair by not offering any points or manpower.
If "it" was then made more "tasty" i am sure spacetrace would be a more exciting place.

You better battle for points , not by taking some planets with no use and earn easy points , not every thing in life has a use so you better get used to those kind of things

it is good that you think about the use of the uninhabited planets.
we knew, that they will become a purpose one day and we are already developing an idea.
it will not be possible to get more manpower this way, (you should know by now: there are so many questions "how can i get more manpower").
the mp is fixed in spacetrace, thats the difference to other games.
the strategies in pbattles and variations in your fleets should be the main focus.
so i like the idea most about the secret inventions on the planets.
we already have the 4 planets with ships to get from and it is possible to position researches on planets too (we did that in former rounds)

so go on brainstorming

I woud have an idea howbout this:

(1)either pre warp planets give points (but more then 50 lets say 200 every 24 h)

(2)or a pre-warp planet gives you more mp (althoug i think that's a bad idea it very bad for newbies)

(3)or a by controling 2 pre-warp planets ,per player, in an alliance your reaserch time gets cut by 25% and with 4 planets per payer it gets cut in half (50%)

for example: you have 6 planets and u are a 2 man alliance = reaserching "advandced tactics" takes 18h instead of 24

(4)or the same principal as (3) exept with the building of ships

example: a fighter takes 7 1/2 h instead of 10h to build

Two comments about ZZZ suggestion.

1) Your suggestion might be difficult to code.

2) I have seen numerous pre-warp planet. With your idea, nobody will need to compete since you have a lot, and I mean a lot, of pre-warp planet floating around.

it was just a suggestion if u don't like it make a better one doomstar!!!!!! Anyways it was a generall idea imagin trying to hold 80 prewarp panets with a 20 man alliance or 48 with 12 man alliance that's harder than u think (as the black hole shows).

You coud stil raise the number of panets u have to hold!!!!! don't be so negativ

I like the idea of putting technology on pre warp planets,
-it can help newbies advance quicker
-it doesn't interfere with the basics of the game (battle)


but I find it a bit weird that pre-warp planets have post warp technology.... if you know what I mean

I was just trying to be supportif for the technology hidden on prewarp planets, that's all.

But then I started thinking about pre warp planets and why they are called pre warp. And if they are really pre warp, they can in noway hold any technology that could be interesting for us.
Anyway never mind, not even worth discussing, just a slip in my strange way of thinking. :-s

ZZZ stardoom is right your idea will not work for one simple reson.
You do not "hold" pre-warp planets!!!!
You just go to them and they become yours! Wen you leave that pre-warp planet it is still yours!
However if another player comes along to that planet then they capture it.
Therefore the amount of points you gave (more than 50) is absolutely idiotic!
An alliance could hold 12 pre-warp planets easily.

ya but if u only get the points every 24h then sombody can just fly their with a scout befor you get the points and "steal" the planet.
anyways it was aq f*** suggestion it might need improvment i know that !!!!! but if should be improved then u have to make a better suggestion guys. AND you don't have to exept all the sugestions just one or two the one u don't ike can be modifyd or droped altogether

most of these ideas are good, finaly using pre-warp worlds

but they seem too easy to take away
maby we could use troopers for it
say when you get a pre warp planet you have the option of building up to a ceartain amount of defence troopers on the planet (which would take time/and maby a small amount of mp say 10 per planet)
any one wanting to take the planet would have to send in invaders (new or use current invaders) to take the planet

otherwise the game could turn in to people just flying around taking planets with flying saucers in the 3 fleets
