You know what would kill a lot of those stupid posts: Getting rid of the total posts and rankings in the forums.

Right now, people just want to post so that they look like they have contrubuted to conversations in the forums, when they have really done squat.

Get rid of the ranking system, and stop counting number of posts, and the spam will magically disappear.

I remember when I first started I wanted to get a good ranking so I would look like I knew what I was talking about. It means nothing. The only thing that is important to keep is the date joined, and that is decieving anyways.

If I come into Spacetrace as a new or recent player...and I am asked constantly by the older players who have used the forum so nicely...to chill a bit in the forum...then I would have had the respect to shut up at least a bit...When I hear that some players dont access the forum anymore because of bullshit postings or seeing just one name everywhere...then I feel sad...and when someone gets away with murder and then still has the guts to say to an older player fuck you asshole...then I think...well, maybe this game is just for the 12 13 and 14 year olds...there was a period where not one single player with more than one account would not be seriously investigated...and banned from spacetrace...there was a period where foul unecessary bullshit would not have been so tolerated...the insults were more in a comical sense...lets just say...either adapt to the 12 13 and 14 year old mentality or fuck off...thats what I am experiencing right now...so Prom...dont ever leave on my behalf...I will be more than willing to just play my spacetrace...wage my wars and so on without being active in the forum, there's always the chatroom to keep contact...

Admin, please close this topic now, for the good of Spacetrace and it's half decent, non-spamming players. No I don't like promethius2 spamming a lot, but it's not right to slag him off in the forum. This topic is not useful, it just gets on my effin tits. But I do agree with Archilles; lets get rid of the post-count and rankings. There is no useful purpose to them.
