What is the best race and why?

What is the best race.
I have only been nanite and human.
What do you think is the best race and please state why.

i think mycelloids cause they can have fleets which are good at not being destroyed

This is very tricky, because if the majority is using the 'best' race then you could be another race that has good counter ships against it. That is the well balanced thing of SpaceTrace I like, ships are not good BECAUSE they are used often, but BECAUSE ships are used often, other ships are more attractive to use.
Is a 'swank' fleet (apollo/cyclops/cruiser) good if most players are using it?

I think fleets that are often used gives oppurtunity to exploit this, uses fleets that like at it, but act totally different. Building a fleet with core drivers and a doomstar and let it look like a farm fleet could fool your enemy as he is likely to send a good loaded mp fleet towards it.

This is just like races, other races might be more interesting because the majority is using another race.

i vote for E-Rays
it has the best of two worlds

just to let you know, i had played with kazz, e-rays and humans

the kazz has good class 2 but i get out of power too soon (out of massive destruction ships, yes there is the mantis but its not easy to use)

the humans have a lot of fire power, but the research time seems to me too long, specially researching ships of other races

nanites and myc. i know them more or less, but i cant talk about without giving info about my fleets

so the best, for know, the e-rays

It Depends on your style.

I think for new players mycilloid is best cos you can build one big fleet with a major reconstructor and usually score in the class 3 battle, not always of course.

I have always preferred eray as it gives the best combination of class one ships. But I have had both my best and worst figures as eray.

Humans can wreak the most havoc, but have some weakness's.

Kazulla are interesting but do lack the pow of humans

Nanites along with mycilloids can build the most exotic (swank?) fleets and have the destructive potential of the humans. But those fleets need some experience to use well.

I vote Eray just ahead of nanite.

I've always played Human, guess what I vote for BTW taking away the mob-bot's ability to repair ships at 0 (e.g. making it useless in Destroyer/Bot vs Destroyer confrontation), the humans and nanites took a serious blow

Nanite still makes the most "exotic" fleet setups as spyder stated, and i like that

I would say humans or erays I vote humans.And those exotic setups are easily destroyed and easily spotted on a dsp.But however you can score a hell of alot of points on unsuspecting opponents.

Yeah, I agree with Mackman, you can score a lot of points against unsuspecting opponents with human. Since they're supposed to be pirates I think thats pretty characterful. But I still like kazuula best
