High Command Admiral
The Admiral leads the men into glorious battles and returns in flaming victory. The Admiral ship generates additional combat bonuses due to the high morality of the men and excellent leadership of such a high commanding officer. The Admiral ship enables all ships to gain extra attack point, but comes at a cost. The amount gained is only determined by the amount of experience points and manpower put into the Admiral.

Hi everybody! I just thought I’ll bring up a new idea to Spacetrace….again =)21 . If the admin would please move this to the New Invention, it would be much appreciated. The invention engine won’t allow me to make such actions to create this ship.
I thought this would be an interesting idea. How cool would it be if you could have an Admiral commanding you fleet? This should be available to all races from my point of view. The idea of this ship is to be able to determine how strong you want to make a ship. This allows you to put as many points and mp you want in this ship to increase its potency. The only PROBLEM is that I can’t decide whether you own score should go in to ship or your mp or both. That why in the description is says “The amount gained is only determined by the amount of experience points and manpower put into the Admiral.” An idea created from gaining points from battles, which could in turn be interpreted as experience points. I don’t mean that it should be viewed that way, only that its an interesting concept……Don’t you ARGEE???? =)21 . Please support me in this ship as many other people have supported my other ships =) LOL Although, I’m really not sure whether it should be attack points that should be upped, attack or defense or a new ability. What do you guys think?
BTW. I felt like since so many sorry inventions were being invented that I might come back and invent some more ships. Although its very brain draining, I find this very fun. Also, I’m planning on bringing out NEW CONCEPT SHIPS, that would probably not be ships that would be implemented in Spacetrace, but would be very interesting to battle with if you could =) LOL Sounds funny. Concept ships =)

This is very vague, but it sounds interesting.
Question to clarify:
Say its a class three ship, and the lp is set to 100. Ap is variable. That means that this ships has ?/100.
Do you mean that the ship costs one point/mp per ap? Therefore:
1/100 = 1 point (or 1 mp)
100/100 = 100 points (or 100 mp)
1000/100 = 1000 points (or 1000 mp)
Or maybe the lp is variable? Consider:
100/1 = 1 point
100/100 = 100 points
100/1000 = 1000 points (Of course, or mp on all three)
One problem I see right off the bat is the abuse possibilities.
-If someone has a crappy score, who cares how much crappier it gets? Spend those dang points and make your ships kick it!
-A class three ship for 1 mp?!?!!? Ill take 500, bartender!
-Oh, Im sorry, all my class one ships are 100/1 admiral ships! Do you need a doctor?
Of course, these are just possibilities/exaggerations, but the opportunities for abuse are all there. It would possibly throw off all fleet predictions, and blur the race lines if it is not very structured.
Dont get me wrong, I like the concept, and would like to see more opinions on it. I just wanted to point out the obvious to begin discussion.

NONONO Not like that. Its not 1 pt for 1 ap. Thats one of the problems. I'm not sure how much pts to use or whether i should use it at all.
It'll probably be more like 200pts for one ap or something |

200 is kind of a lot, isnt it? I dont see that being useful at all.

Maybe you could have it "encourage" people to spend more points on it. Like 10 points gets you 1 ap, but if you spend 50 points you get 10 ap. Or something along those lines. |

You know, it really depends on what the foundation of the Admiral ship is. We dont even have a class set for it.
One ap or lp means different things depending on what class you are talking about.
Idea: How about a ship that can be moved from class to class? That may be interesting, hm?

I’m really sorry. It seems as though my previous explanation seems to be a bit confusing. I’ll try to clear it up some.
This ship can not be abused in that only one will be active and there is a limited amount of mp. This ship is a new concept, which pretty much a start of my new series of new concept ships. I know that these ships may have no chance in becoming part of Spacetrace, but I think they may seem very interesting. That is why I need many of you people’s input on what to do with this ship. One problem I face is that this ship needs to be able to modify what every its going to modify before the entire battle. The only solution I can find so far is to create a class 0. LOL Sounds funny. Anyways, the reason why it can’t be a class1 is that due to the variability of mp that can be put into this ship, there is no way to put it in class1, which would be too vulnerable.
The idea of this ship is to be able to do something with your points and mp to create or per say train and new ship to command a fleet. The reason this ship can’t be abused is because mp is involved. That is if we want to include your score as a building process. For example:
High Command Admiral---------______mp-----(?/?)-----______pts
There needs to be a certain amount of mp increments which limits the amount you can build. Say the increment is 200mp=800pts. That may seem a lot, but you need to think of the advantages of this ship. Also, it could be made to be build like a building. Where once you build it, that’s the only one you can have until it is destroyed or recycled.
As you can see, it is not possible to abuse it. Who in their sane mind put 5000mp and 20,000 pts in an admiral ship? It would be point less. Maybe destroy one ship???? LOL
I hope this solves any questions. REMEMBER! I need input on wat to add or change in this ship. I would like a ship where every body pitches in to make this ship that everybody (or most) would like =)

The Ship should mulityply it by at least by two or three so fighters stand a good chance of living the next battle but when it comes down to cruisers and alike then it will be a bit of a bit*h to take out

Something like that, but Magic doesn't even know.
People are not going to respond to ideas like this. You have to put it in writing; the solid, workable ship concept.
Then, players will look at how it affects different ships in the game, how it plays with other classes, it's ability to last multiple battles, and how they can use it. Right now there is nothing to work off of.
Don't think up a new ship, flesh this one out fully.
(Then think up a new ship )

Well, if you cant make a ship with the existing modifiers, it is unlikely to appear any time soon.
Anything requiring programming always has to wait till someone has the time to do that. Ships made with the ship builder can be dropped in fairly easily I believe.
Thats not to say you should not try and think of new concepts, etc etc, but using the modifier thingo should really only apply to ships that can be dropped straight into the game.
Worm holes etc should probably stay mentioned in Suggestions.
I think this ship relates somewhat to the evolution concept mentioned elsewhere. |
