i (admin) changed the subject of this post, cause the original post was in german:
Quote:

Bitte checkt mal ab was da falsch läuft... In jedem Fall leigt hier ein Fehler vor!
in english:
Something's going wrong...
there are 4 fleets at a planet on my DSP-scan and suddenly when i start the fight 2 are vanished...

could it be, that the fleets, you saw on your deep scan fought before your fleet took its turn?

if there where 4 fleets, and they where from different players, the fleets that arrove first, fight first.
it is possible, that you see something on your scan, that is already gone, because the fleets did already fight, but unless one of the players logs in, the scan remains in its old state.

It is funny that battles dont occure till one of the players logs in. I was spying a planet, with fleets on it for several hours.
All of a sudden a bunch of ships dissapeared, and sure enough, one of the players had logged in. I know this is not a bug as such, but I think the game should run battles as they occur whether the players are online or not.

it makes no difference. the order of battle is kept (since some weeks). that means all battles occur in the right order.
the only drawback right now is the dsp, but we could fix that.

this way (events are triggered by players) it is possible to run a real time game like this on a small server without time strecht (other way: in times of heavy player activity, the simulated time would run less fast... in st this will never happen, all events are calculated correctly), and after all: it makes no difference.

we welcome that some players found out ( cause we are a little proud of this solution...pssss don't tell that )

Yes thank you, the battle out or order thing was very annoying. If you could fix the dsp thing we would all love you forever
