@Magic- I do not think anyone else will post these to focus on them them, as they are your ideas and it would be "stealing". So it is your responsibility.

All of these can be done up as new researches, except perhaps the alliance command center. I envision this as a "death star" type ship (planet), that is fixed in space to the sector in the center of the alliance. The problem with this is that the center is relocated when membership changes. Another negative is that the center may be in a dangerous area (near an enemy).

The other ideas can be buildings on this command center. They can be given structure and lifepoints. For example:
Ship transfer- The shared alliance fleet is a good idea. What if you had to build a hangar for it before you could use it? Now make the hangar only buildable upon the command center. Here is something worth fighting over.

DSP share/Alliance com list- These ideas can be integrated into another building, such as an Intelligence Center, or a "War Room" Give it some lifepoints and slap it on the command center. (I dont really find these necessary. You can always have people send their com-lists to one person, who can cut-and-paste them onto a document, alphabetize and remove dupicates, and send them out via e-mail. Then it can be printed out, added to, or whatever. It can be done right now with no bother to the admin.)

These are just my humble ideas to make it easier to process these ideas. If it was done as inventions, it would be just a natural progression of the game's development, and not a whole new system to implement.

That is true.

Admins, what do you say?!?
If u need help programing this game (after all it's free), you should try to work-up collective for ST-programing. I belive that you could find (10-20) people that could help you scripting & know techs like php,js,css,mysql... (correct me if I'm wrong).

So, admins, what do you say?!?

I too vote yes for all...

But... There can be some abuse of most of the "centralized" ideas - spies in the alliance, etc. I mean if the leader points out so-and-so to be the enemies, they can be warned by a spy...

As for the 2nd commander...

These are supergreat ideas, i'm happy someone is busy with this braincrashing work, any way, i'm a leader of an alliance and i've got a setup for an alliance which i myself have thought out. It concerns more places then only MoC and CoW. Setup:
STAGE 1:
-leader
-1st councilor(replaces the leader after he is 3 days offline and takes most important decisions with leader, it is illegal that the leader bans this person, unless there is a voting torough the whole alliance. Leader and 1st councilor must keep in touch at everytime!!)
-2nd councilor(replaces the leader and 1st councilor after they are 3 days offline, his work is too listen to complaints of members)
-alliance contacts(must be linked to other alliances, and must be able to get info on that alliance, BUT the alliance must be friendly or neutral)
STAGE 2:
-CoW(he takes the important decisions in warfare and controls over most off the fleets of the alliance, indirectly, he must keep in close contact with leader and 1st councilor. He is also allowed to assign the following titles to whoever he wants to, if the one insists)
-battle councilor(allways in close contact with the CoW, like leader and 1st councilor, he replaces the CoW if he's 3 days offline)
-4 generals(the four generals are chosen by the CoW and the battle councilor and also the leader. The four generals represent the power of the CoW, for they must oney to him, and offcourse battle councilor. Each general can choose his own twolieutenants. The generals have ranks; the primary general, or 1st general, and the three others. The generals and the CoW and battle councilor have to discuss matters once in a while to keep the war machine running)
-lieutenants(they obey mostly to the general they ahve to serve, these lieutenants, there are 8, since there are four generals, are all equal to each other)
STAGE 3:
-MoC(this is hard to find, because his job is to lead spy groups and to be dpilomatic, while most in the game just wan to find, in some cases the leader can be the MoC, since he has to be diplomatic too, the MoC is the most valuable one for the leader, for he seeks info about the enemy, and he must know everything about the environment. The MoC can assign the following places to whoever he wants too, if the person insists.
-1st comcouncilor(he replaces the MoC if he's three days offline, and takes most important decisions with the MoC, he also leads the spy groups)
-2nd comcouncilor(he replaces the MoC and 2nd comcouncilor if they are three days offline. He has the ability to build five probes, but only two fleets, and he can't research final exploratio. The MoC has the ability to build the alliance probes, but i just come up with this one.)
-spy:(these are the servants of the MoC and the 1st councilor, they are able to build one more probe, aside from the three they can already make. And they get access to a tech i invented: the probes they build take less time, -4 hours.)

I also want to say, that's this is no idea rush i invented in just a minute or two, i worked on this for a month, but i'm open to all kinds of new suggestions. I already apply this to my alliance, allthough it has only four members by now, but we have a positive score. As you noticed it takes a big alliance to fill everything up, so i suggest the leader can "buy" these places if new members join. In order to do this, every place, like spy, but not CoW, MoC, 1 councilor. They have to be open from the beginning. There should be a system where every member can donate some of its points, so the leader can use them to "buy" the places.

You shouldn't set down the structure and hierarchy of an alliance. Some alliances are small and use a everybody is equal. And some alliances don't want to have so much functions.
I think it is better to have priveleges like controlling mTWG, viewing alliance fleets, reading alliance messages, granting other members priveleges.
Than every user can be assigned the tasks he want, and in an equal alliances everyone can be made equal.

Yes, but in my alliance, everybody is equal to get enough protection and suggest things, besides with my alliance structure, everybody has its place, and with a good communication with every member, they won't feel outranked, but they feel a part of the alliance, besides, its not about orders, but about cooperation, i've divided players into certain groups where they cooperate. So don't talk about hierarchy, for you are far from wright.

Ok then say it the hard way:
This idea can't be applied to every alliance. In fact I think that this idea can be applied to a very small percentages of the alliance exits.

That is true indeed, cuz most players just want to have fun in this game, and no complex system, anyway, forget my idea, i prefer to hold it for my own alliance, afterall it is just a game, and those suggestions may be good, but are better applied on the big alliances, or those who take this game serious. Yet, i think some ideas are good of blackmagic, allthough i think those alliance probes are a little to farfetched, but i do like the SOS stuff.

if you really think about it, the idea of centralizing could be interesting, allowing for only substantially sized alliances. i mean not huge like the star sharks confedereation or borg but about 8-13 pplz. it would eliminate the way single players can exploit the benefits of alliances by making one. you guys/girls know what i mean?

Sure your idea is good and all, but the point is that having a chain like that is not the point of spacetrace. The ideas i have created were balanced the best way possible so that even small alliances could have a advantage. I even gave pros and cons to each one to point out their good and bad parts. Now lets go back to my ideas eh? lol uhhhhh.............ok..............yeah........thats all

all sound good to me but all alliances should be able to put war on others more openly so every one knows not just go to another learder and say 'Hey i were going to war Bla...Bla... Mone slap Bla.. Bla.. Punch in penis'
