Both of these things are not possible.
Well you can have more population with clone labs, but then all your ships will cost you 1 mp more. So therefor you can only build more expensive ships, fighters will be 50% more expensive, and you only gain 10% population.
You cannot conquer other planets, but you can move your shipyard to an unhabited planet if you want, this you do with a pioneer ship.

You can research cloning labs.
First you need to research improved targeting, then science recycle methods, and then you can research cloning labs.
But it is not used very much, because you can not turn it back, and building class one has no function anymore from then.
You can better research some nice ships and combine them in a way which will destroy most other fleets. You can read a lot about that in the strategy topic.

As for the clone labs => think of as if you have interest to build only ships with mp=10 or more

imaging you are starting to play and from nowhere comes 6 fleets with 5000 mp each one. They will eassly destroy you |

exp: lvl 1 vs lvl 1
lvl 5 vs lvl 5
if there isn't any levels........MAKE UM! |

bUT WHY.....ITS ONLY 5000 MP and clones will increase the things and make it harder to work at all.........wait how about this....why not increase the man power by 1000 or 100 people everyday.... |

that would take away from the balance in the game. the point is to make the game as balanced as possible so that points can only be earned through good strategy and not advantages like what you said.

Okay.....thats one but there is no true ballance in ships......I have studied there statistics and it seems that the humans and eray seem to have an advantage. Though the abilities are exceptionally good look at the ATACK AND LIFE POINT OF THE ERAY AND HUMANS. THEN LOOK AT THE REST.....That makes them probably one of the most strongest race in the games....I mean not everything has to be the same mind you but at least have 1 ship in each class that has the same attack power and/or life. (Note some of these things are alrerady done... |
