turreted destroyer (class 2 ship)

the turreted destroyer has five mini-guns covering several arcs of fire. each is free to engage it´s own target if necessary.

I think this is better:
lp = 10
mp = 10
Because the destroyer must be stronger than any special class 2 ship.

I created this ship, but I'm not sure it was the greatest idea.

The purpose was to make a cheaper class two ship that would be more effective against class one than a regular destroyer. This is more effective, but it would not get you any points. You would kill five standard fighters for each turreted destroyer. Net loss of three points. This ship would be more effective of course with other ships.

The problem comes in when you go up against the same or higher class. My question is, would the turreted destroyer fire in between of the enemys fire, or would it fire all five shots in a row? If it fires all shots uninterrupted, then I do like this ship, and think it can be very powerful. If not it is more of a liability than anything else.

The way I understand the battles, this ship would fire all 5 at once, but all at one ship. Plus its kinda broken with Wasps. It would effectively become a 6/8 with one Wasp "boost", basicly hitting one ship as a 30/8.

It really should read:
AP/LP: 0/8
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,1,this,all,+,0,-2,Turret 1 fires)
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,1,this,all,+,0,-2,Turret 2 fires)
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,1,this,all,+,0,-2,Turret 3 fires)
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,1,this,all,+,0,-2,Turret 4 fires)
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,1,this,all,+,0,-2,Turret 5 fires)

OR
AP/LP: 0/8
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,5,this,all,+,0,-2,Turrets fire)

This are 2 different battlesyntaxes. Because the first can modify 1 ship but also 5 ships, and the second will modify 5 seperated ships.

I think the original idea will do, because it fights 5 timesin a row, and if a ship is destroyed the the follow fights will affect the next ship.

This ship + Campaign ship = 10 shoot per ship
1 shoot = 2 x 5 = 10
10 x 2 = 20
This ship is too powerful for the cost of production.

That just means it attacks five times. I was not sure when I made it if it attacked all five times in a row or in between enemy attacks, so I thought it was balanced. If it shot in between enemy attacks it would take five of them to take out one destroyer, but one of them would take out five fighters. (Ten with a campaign ship.) It has two damage per attack do deal better with mosquitos, troikas, etc.

If it fired 10 times with 1 dam each attack, and was worth 10mp, it would be too powerful and make destroyers obsolete.

I voted that it is a good invention but needs changes. Its intended to be purely a defensive ship, and it could take some of the edge off of fighter attacks.
