Well for humans the dreadnought is not to only way to kill the eagle fleet.If they have a fleet of eagles with no class 1 you could use 4000 fighters+commandos to kill eagles.You could throw in some bountyhunters with that mix.

ahhh. nooo. once again people have blindsided the troika and its wonderful power. A troika fleet can easily wipe out a eagle fleet. I'll show you. Say he has 800 eagles. All you need is around 300 or less troikas and a campaign ship and/or hammer and you'll get tons of points or lose very little. All depends. If the hammer works, your in for a lot of points =)

@mackman: that is true but your fleet will be very vulnerable to other types of fleets. @blackmagic: you are right unless the eagle fleet too, has a hammer and campaign ship =) then things will be different somehow. not sure how though =)

So the combination of standard ship and Troika is bad.
But some Human ship can help

The problem with that battle report was that the guy had too many destroyers. If he had only 10 destroyers, a little over 180 troikas, and 1 cruiser, im preety sure i would have worked. Maybe better if he had a campaign ship.....Yup he would have killed you.

Maybe so but in both your BR your enemy has far less eagles than I did and also I see he had spectres thats where you got most of your points.If anyone can post a BR with a better eagle fleet vs. troikas that would help a bit more.
