dtor
dtor (or detour) is short for detect, transmit, override, reroute. this very nasty little probe will detect a fleets presence within it´s range, transmit new coordinate information to the fleet, override its nav computer, and reroute it to the black hole. the probe does not stop at its set coordinates, but passes through them maintaining speed, until it eventually flies out of the known universe. because of the unusual state of the warp field surrounding fleets using trans warp gates, these fleets are not affected.
scanradius: 1
speed: warp 10
researchtime: 2 d

needed research:
improved computer technology

I thought it lost something without the capital letters (Why does everthing drop to lower case when you list a research, anyways?)

Now this i don't understand. Why have a probe that redirects a fleet? From the average distance from planets to the BH is big. By the time its half way there they could turn it right back. Also i wonder if this effects fleets that are in base? In addition, when you mean it keeps on going.....how far is that? I mean by the way you put it, it seems as though you cant destroy it until you get so far. |

If it doesn't work into your strategy, don't use it, but I can think of a number of ways it would be useful.

No, only fleets that have destination coords already listed and are enroute.

No you can't destroy it, but there are an end to the coords, and if not, then it can end when the probe passes out of a cube based on the variations of the following coords 0/0/0 - 1000/1000/100.
