'''Twilight Force [TF]''' is one of two spacetrace starter alliances. When a player joins the game, they will either join 'TF', or their sister alliance, 'IG'. Twilight Force often has in excess of 30 members, due to the large amounts of inactive new players who reside in the force. Despite this, some noobs do eventually make it into other alliances, and a common stepping stone forward is to join [[Warriors of the Fallen Star|WFS]]'s second alliance, '[[Warriors Bootcamp]]', led by legendary noob trainer, al12.

==History==
Twilight Force officially opened its doors on December 19th, 2006. Every new player (wether they are re-evoing or just starting out) would be in either TF or IG automatically - they could choose to leave whenever they would wish to - this is a trait continued to this day however more influence is placed on the leader, who is an experienced player and can help with the basics of training.

==Leaders==
A leader's job is to assist and co-operate with all of his TF members. Just like any normal leader, the TF leader must place authority within the alliance, however, they are very rarely any conflicts with other alliances to make TF a much safer environment to play within.

GNN has had again quite a long pause, and hasn't posted since Friday July 7th, on the American based, Independance from UK day. It is unknown how long this pause will last.

Because of an abcense in GNN's posting; for whatever reason, GNN inevitably had many discussions in the forums. Because of the need for news, inevitably again, a new News station was made, entitled <nowiki>''Your News Now (YNN)''</nowiki>.

Your News Now, run by Knight of Truth, lasted only 4 broadcasts. Knight of Truth had attempted to update daily, but stopped seeing the point, as only minor changes were made, inadvertantly handing the work back over to the still active GNN.

Then, a little later on, a new GNN was setup, in the absense of GNN this time. It's name - SpacePirates, operating from a pirated planet in the ST Galaxy. On it's debut day however, GNN started posting again, and little has happened of SpacePirates since. GNN still does not run constantly, and it is hoped posting will be more frequent in the future.

However, on Tuesday, July the 8th, 2008, Galactic News Network was revived after almost a year of non-posting. Since the revival, GNN has provided monthly news updates (excluding September), and even provided a poetry competition, however, to little success.

The next GNN news story is scheduled for some time between the 12th and the 18th of October.

-Coldplay- is a fairly new alliance created in June 2008 just before the IX (ninth) era, by the well known player, MicroJak ''(yours truly)''. It has 5 members, all of which are active members on the forums.

-Coldplay- was named after the well known band, Coldplay, and the tag, X&Y, reffers to the band's album under the same name. -Coldplay- officially has a hyphen at the beginning and at the end of its name, however Coldplay/X&Y are generally accepted as being correct pseudonyms.

The alliance specialises in normal gameplay.

A Class 1 ship is usually a ship in class 1. They usually have very small mp,lp and ap, the exeption being the Prophet. The best way to use class 1 ships is agasinst c2, c3 and c4 ships. For instance:

The cruiser will destroy 1 fighter, because it has 100ap, however it cannot fight again. Therefore the 100 fighters left can destroy the cruiser.

The plasma gunship is ineffective against c1, c2 and c4 ships, so when it takes its turn, nothing will happen. The plasma gunship has 100lp, therefore the 3 kamikaze (which in total have 105ap between them) will destroy the plasma gunship.

A hammer uses a heavy particle blast to do 2 damage to all c2 and c3 ships in your and your enemies fleet. 1 bounty hunter will destroy a ship that has already been damaged. Seeing as those 15 eagles there have been damaged, the bounty hunter destroys them all! :D.

Each cyclops will destroy 100 fighters.. I think you can work out the score here ;).

All in all, class 1's are great ships, when used well. But you must be careful of cyclops. If your opponent is an e-ray or a human, you don't have to worry ;).

== State of Evolution ==

Every players reign at a planet must come to an end, otherwise their score would just keep getting higher and higher, and they would not have the chance to explore different races and different ships. Therefore, Star Commander, a well known ST player, invented the Evolution State. This is the process where players reach 100% evo, are visited by The Dominion of the Travellers, and subsequently asked to re spawn, either with the same name, or a different name altogether.

Evolution usually takes around 3 months. It cannot be increase and only decreased if a player decides to delete his/her account. Once a player has evoed, there score is set back to 0, and, if successful enough, their last account may have been put on the highscore list. Once a player has re spawned, they have to research all of the ships again, and also join their alliance again. ALL players who have respawned will either end up in the alliance TF, or the alliance IG.

Your evolution state is measured in %. 0 percent means you have just started. 50% means you have been playing on that evo for 50 days. 100% means that your evo has ended. Dominion of the Travellers is unbeatable. Once you have created a new account, you can go to HQ> Preferences > and there you should see the names of your previous accounts, and the dates which you created them (or respawned them). Check the box if you want players to see that previous account when they message you.

To see what your evo is, go to HQ>Preferences.

GNN has put out a total of 35 epic stories of the mysterious ST Galaxy

GNN had two very decisive long pauses between November 14th 2005, and April 15 (with cannily is my brithday) 2006, and Sunday November 26, 2006 to Wednesday June 27th 2006. In which in both sessions new ideas popped up, and even a new discussion took place about who was to replace GNN.

GNN has had again quite a long pause, and hasn't posted since Friday July 7th, on the American based, Independance from UK day. Yet will this pause last? We shurely don't know....

== Contraversial Lack of Posting ==

Becuase of an abcense in GNN's posting; for whatever reason, GNN inevitably had many discussions in the forums. Because of the need for news, inevitably again, a new News station was made, entitled 'Your News Now.'

Your News Now, run by Knight of Truth, lasted only 4 broadcasts. Unbalanced, Unoriginal, and Unneccessary, the Network split up, inadvertantly handing the work back over to the still active GNN. The unofficial Your News Now Network's founder, KoT, described Your News Now as 'a desperate attempt to make a substitute to GNN.'

Then, a little later on, a new GNN was setup, in the absense of GNN this time. It's name - SpacePirates, operating from a pirated planet in the ST Galaxy. On it's debut day however, GNN started posting again, and little has happened of SpacePiates since.

'Tales of Another Broken Home' had created a new account, this was in the August of '06. His plan, and the SSA's, was to get a spy into the alliance Trailer Park, get the co-ordinates of the flag, and get SSA's flag back. Tales' plan did work out quite well at he start, his plead to get into Trailer Park was not denied, and soon he was a valid member of the alliance. However, within 3 hours of Tales getting the C-O of the flag, he was banned from the alliance, and the plan failed.

Tales of Another Broken Home, a.k.a MicroJak, went into the minus 10,000 scores, and his confidence plumeted. Shortly after, the alliance fused with the alliance [[Oden's Warriors]], forming the alliance [[Oden's Sword]]. Most members went on exploring different areas in ST, further greatening their heights.

The SSA will be remembered for it's involvement in training newbies up, whatever their score was. A lot of people think the SSA was truly a credit to Spacetrace.

when you start the game you are under protection for the first two days. nobody can attack you during that time, but you cannot attack either. use this time to build your fleet and start researches.

your first fleet

build a fleet, that consists of ships of every class (1 to 4). you need at least one mothership in a fleet, to open a hyperjumpgate for that fleet.
you have about 5000 manpower (MP) and it is good to use them all for your fleets, so you have a strong fleet that is capable of defending your planet and can attack other planets.
always leave some ships in your base fleet to protect your shipyard and research center.
and important: always be aware of the attitude of your fleets (see the attitude section in fleets)

probes

in the beginning you should send your investigation-probe to seek out new lifeforms (e.g. other players). your planetary SETI-scan has a radius of 10 sectors, so you should send out your i-probe (investigation-probe) to a distance of 20 sectors.
(you can use the travel time calcuator (TTC) to check out the distance)
if your i-probe finds other planets, it establishes so called "communication-links" to them that you can see on your com-screen. once an i-probe reaches its destination you can destroy it; the com-links will remain!

communication

in your com-center you´ll see a list of other players. the com-links are automatically added whenever you find another player with an investigation probe or whenever you have contact in another way.
you can send messages to other players if you click on their names. you can even send a message to players not listed in your com-list through the player search on that page. the planets-screen shows the coords of uninhabited planets and the names of players that abandoned their planets (if you don't log in for 8 days, your planet is considered 'abandoned', that means you won't meet any fleets at the abandoned planets, because their fleets and buildings are dimensionally displaced sub-space if you don't log in for 31 days, your planet will vanish from the galaxy).
you can leave messages on the planets and sometimes they reveal ancient technologies.

Er... I think this is it...

So, I am MicroJak, MJ, Kduk, Strombreaker, Frink, Flick, Capri, and others that I have sadly forgotten, none of which have made any real contribution to ST. So, I'm gonna start that on here, the cleverly named 'SpacetraceWiki'.

I hope to bring my affluent range of words to overcome the persons reading this nostalgent peice of text, so that they who have most admariably cautioned their time to read this, and so that with hope one jubilant day they shall come and administer themselves to our esteemed community.

Anyway, without further, a-do, I shall now commence clicking activity, not once, thrice, but joyous twice, on the 'Save Page' representation on the foundational allotment of the screen.
