I understand that we have some crazy scientist, who doesn't want to change their mind...

but when we start a not-own-race-science (ie a x3 research because it's not your race) and U have an attack of somebody, and U need (really need) a probe or a ship that will go down its plans, or to research the cloack device, because you doesn't need it before, or you haven't have the time...

I think that make the research off can be really useful, and don't trasform the game...

It's not really hard to program (I think) because you loose your research and start another...

But if U don't want... ok, will loose time againt

i think it would be a good idea to cancel researches !
I wouldn´t need this function but as a player you are the ruler of your planet and therefor you should be able to give orders to your scientists and if they do not agree maybe you can rip there footnails from their toes or torture them in another way. This would make them obeying the orders of their RULER !!!
