once you have discovered a prewarp, is there a way to determine whether or not it can be colonized other than sending a colony star all the way out to it?

I could be wrong but I believe that pre-warps that are colonizeable will show up on the "strategical map" whereas the ones that arent, wont. This is what I used when I first tried to colonize a prewarp and wasent able to.
