let's get rid of the alliance attack code.
we make autopeace with the alliance. if you want to battle against your ally mates you just have to ignore the treaties. you can still use the code for treason reason anyway the aac never worked for alliance outsiders.
a nice sideeffect would be that we could add autopeace with the alliance to the mtwg - that would avoid some useless destruction of mtwg's
and it would be just so handy... you can use what code ever... you will never fight against your ally mates...
i really think the aac serves no purpose anymore if we set the alliance to autopeace. |

i agree. this era alone i have had 3 unwanted battles with my allies.
but why not lose the AAC alltogether then? what purpose does it have anymore? |

the aac - we dont need
the ac is needed and will be very convinient :
if we have auto alliance peace (macro attitude) you wont fight against your ally mates, completely independent from your micro attitude (can be attack defense or code)
this way you can coperate with an alliance without having a treaty (and not using defense) - just use the same ac. so the ac makes sense in some cases so we should keep it. (anyway it wont cause any confusion because you will never fight against your ally mates)
glossar:
aac alliance attack code
ac attack code

Attack codes or rather the misuse of it has cost me some very "important" battles throughout my tenure at ST.
Not to mention, when first learning the game, it was one of the more difficult things to get figured out on how it worked and I'm sure it cost many a destroyed MTWG and even wormholes.
I presume worm holes can still be destroyed if a player wanted to or in my case, I like to use wh's to get a desired effect from certain ships that require battle to be effective.
Give it the hook |

the wormhole behaviour now is dependend on your MoC settings, i guess it's set to peace - if you wanna attack it you need to disobey the MoC orders (and then any code or plain attack will do it) |

it is online... you should see in the alliance screen that you are in peace with your alliance members and check your incomings!
the aac is still active but has no function - i will remove that soon! (it is only visible for the leader anyway)
anyway you have no fear when meeting your friends anymore...
the mtwg functionality is not implemented yet! |
