Admin, on my Iphone i can download a lot of games. Is it possible to make a ST-Iphone-app???
I think the concept of ST suits well.
I know nothing about programming and making these apps but if its possible it could attrack some new players and some money

it be easier to make a mobile site that worked. Then you could just create a wrapper program that uses your default browser to play the game.

I'd actually just be happy if the mobile site worked on my android.

there is a small checkbox on the loginpage, to disable frames, that should work

thanks admin, it took a while but i know the checkbox already!

Unfortunately this option provides a rather complicated set of screens to which i cant get used. For example its imposseble to manouvre and change between fleets and/or use your probe at the same time. I prefer the regular version by far. However in both versions you easely make mistakes, especially while moving your ships. Manouvering is practically impossible. This, while many apps or wrappers use possiblilities voor easy input en quick change of screens

yeah I've noticed that button as well, but on my default android browser it doesn't load the website right. Things are missing like on the probe screen and some pictures here and there. Even the main buttons to help me get around don't have text in them, so i have to guess which one I am pressing to navigate somewhere.

The opera app browser works a little better with a few less errors but its still hard to navigate around or really do anything worth while.

thanks admin for wanna resolve the problems, i hope you can fix them. My first post had another intention: to promote an serious extra platform for spacetrace. The suggestion to make a Iphone-app was because i hope this gives the game a new 'market' and lots of players!
I think the game's concept suits well to smartphone use: you can play a complex game, real time, that doesnt require to be online all the time. The concept as it is for smartphone now is compared to the regular version less userfriendly.

However i dont have the slightest idea how this can be done and how much work it is.

I have to admit, I would be willing to spend money on an app. You could do a free app with ad.s and it would both get more players as well as generate money. Then you could have a paid upgrade to get rid of the ad.s.

Edit: Ad.s is seriously a censored word?

you can already use ST on mobilephones in the internet browser

the only screen that doesent work is the new standard fleets screen. but you can click on "switch to special fleet control" to get the old screen back and that works on touchscreens too

or you use the mobile version without frames:
