Just got my bachelors in IT Technology today and david and I will be taking an extended break to celebrate before I join the high-tech work scene in Palo Alto.

Also got reset by dominian two days back so, a convenient time to leave for a while.

We will be posting VC and MHDC updates next week though. Would do now but that damned LINUX david insists on migrating to has taken out our windows xp boot sectors and will be another day to get to that code.

We will also release linux versions of these apps soon along with an online web server running MS dot.net code which will be compatible with almost any os.

See you all next week (next month before either of us show up in st though)

btw-linux leaves windows in the dust. 4 days in and already programming in it. The Fedora 10 release is awesome.

Linux is nice, never crasher, runs whatever you load, has a sweet interface (depending on what release and pack you have) i like the slackware releases. i havent loaded mine since my last windows crash/reinstall ( another thing Linux doesnt have happen))

Congratulations Renee on your achievement. See you when you get back.
G/L in your future.
When I graduated from IT ( back in the analogue world it was called Communications) I found my education really was just starting.

I wish you sucess and happiness.

USE YOUR PACKAGE INSTALLER'S SEARCH ON TERM:

WINDOWS WIRELESS DRIVERS

and download / install the app it offers.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED A wireless "front interface" each desktop (kde, gnome, icewm, xfce, etc) has one for download. This provides the task bar icon along with the wireless search/selection interface and other neccessary items.

When you are done with the install, reboot (not really neccessary but...) and you should get online wireless within 10 seconds of the desktop load.

NOTE-an ubuntu offshoot aka "crunchbang linux" has a live cd iso that will access just about any device on your pc (esp if it is an Asus EEE ) and that is before the actual installation (fedora was close but, not quite)

btw-kde ruins my linux installations along with my windows boot sector so, I dont recommend them myself they seem really off on a linux tangent :S

you run this app then enter the path and name of the .INF file for your driver on the windows install cd that came with your wireless card,

will post the exact name of that app as soon as I get online with linux later.

btw-while you are at it download and install "WINE" --> WINdows Emulator (it works and works offering the user a choice of win98, win2k and winxp emulation and is absolutely outstanding) and is an alternate way to access windows drivers/devices for/from linux

After I get visual studio to run under linux/wine (just did a successful test of C&C generals zero hour that way) as far as I am concerned windows has lost it to linux and is getting less and less use here.
