On the main registering screen you can see that it says:
'Your name will be Woknimlu of Azuuirak'
and then it says..
'Click here to change these settings'
Well, I think the small problem is most noobs don't know what CHANGE THESE SETTINGS mean, as noob names range from:
Ecau of Afeamigi
to..
Deuop of Wiebveg
Surely these names are not custom? Plus I know DD and al12 used default names for there first accounts, and al12 has used a default name for every planet he's ever ruled.
So.. can this be changed so that more people know that they can change there name into something good?

it wasn't like that back when i played. I think the registration changed back when the evolution system was implemented. The registration used to be much simpler, but now there is the addition of starting fleets.

Thankyou for bringing this topic back up, becuase I find it really stupid and really annoying to find half the population of ST having names like:
Izztug of Tykiyoki
or..
Nonatiqu of Gotmui
Please can we get this changed!!!

but those names are a good tool to find n00bs and teach them how to play destroying a couple of times their bases

it is a bit tough if you never played.
go to the HQ screen, click preferences, change your name and planet name. one time deal, it stays the new name after that, as long as it is a new name. |
