My alliance is doing really bad and we aren't on the list but I would still like to know what place we are in and how many points we have (or don't have). Is there some way to do that?

If you are an "official" alliance, which means if you have an alliance name, a tag and a password in the HQ screen, then you should be in the list...
If not you have to "make up" the alliance by typing a tag in the HQ (not the visible for all) or just sum up the points of each member and look where you would be.
