The beta works great
Had 2 members of IG try (one hit my base while one hit my colony with full fleets on both):
result of colony battle:
13.08 09:46
colony battle against tttehhe at: Groenlo 485/482/62 your enemy
tech losses losses
your alliance was able to defend the colony.
Lost 800 at my base to the other one though....already had my mp tracking a definate multi down.
Notes: 2 ON ONE IS THE ONLY WAY THAT IG START-UP ALLIANCE CAN SCORE anything at all ....But, not for long
Hope these damned start-up alliances either produce some vets or get disbanded soon (like when by the time we return from vacation) as we see nothing coming from them in terms of new players with skill. 40+ members in any alliance really ****s IMHO.
Besides, FG, NS, TLS, Fallen Star, or even a one man alliance are way better at training and even one of those training just one noob get better results.
* evicts another IG multi from his base while it sleeps this time _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road

Renee rushes reinforcements to groenlo, anyone wanting to try next, please do so we want to continue testing this colony battle stuff out before we go.
However have any of your "buddies or partners" lay off our bases and do this 1 on 1 or battle both of us if you cant do this. _________________

This seems to work... I conquered a second planet, and gained another 6 reinforcements. Prepare yourselves! _________________

Actually a "colony incomings" scan for each colony would be great. I would not have any gripes on TF or IG if they could not, using no to very little effort, strip a smaller alliances set of colonies off overnight and undo days of work and planning. It is really unbalancing this new mini-game before it even comes out IMHO. _________________

colony incomings is needed indeed.

it is no mini game , it is another game-play layer, which aims to attract newbies who plays in big alliances (for example IG & TF), which is really working. my vision of it is the following: big empire building clans going for colonies, and the classic small alliances which are aiming for tactical score, lets call them pirate clans. i guess it will be difficult to be in both scores number one, but if you wanna try ...
i guess with some more programming and improvements this concept will work. |

OK, we now have a general idea how to run this colony war game. Before you try to take an armed colony you probably need to establish a few colonies of your own to get as many reinforements as you can (more colonies = more reinforcements to build) then send them to the colony to attack
I note you can also "evacuate" troops from a colony (I also assume you need transports to evac them back to??? anyone?) then move them elsewhere as needed. _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road

Now that renee is changing the colony defense stack...np on posting all the br now
13.08 09:46
colony battle against ***** at: Groenlo 485/482/62 your enemy
tech losses losses
TLS -> 0/5 (5 tanks) --> 0 of 5 lost
Attacker -> 1/1 (1 defense gun) --> 1 of 1 lost
your alliance was able to defend the colony.
* thought defense gun would take out at least one tank though??? or did it get overwhelmed 1st? or can you even use a defense gun when attacking???
Note: name edited out to protect the guilty although name given is the players log in name not the ingame name. _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road

These comments are really quite insulting however I will refrain from releasing a verbal retort THIS TIME in defence of the training alliances. |

Sorry to offend you t-2 as I sure you are trying to train any who listen. However your task is probably a bit overwhelming...esp given all the members to communicate with :|
Will try to draft a few out of both alliances on return from vacation but, would prefer ones who actually take to your training.
2 days and we are out of here but, wish we were exiting without having to deal with noobs and / or multi's....kind of wanted to do a last bh battle but, no time to now.
I really hate having to wipe a noob out of a start up fleet that is gonna take 3 weeks or more of research to replace but, they insist on it by sitting on my base with everything they got _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road
