My trace probe recorded the movement of the fleets of Warfare of Warfare.
It also shows the presence of someone called The Artist of Warfare.
My first thoughtwas: ''A multi?''' so I checked the latest attacks. Nothing suspicious there. I wanted to look at the other one (Warfare of Warfare) but I couldnt find him when I searched for warfare.
Then it occured to me that planets arent allowed to have the same name, so it had to be a bug.

I think this bug has ben around for a while. It's in the probe reading display.
Warfare of Warfare is actually The Artist of Warfare.
The trace probe does 2 things. The first is it registers hyperjumps FROM a radius of 4 sector to else where.
Second it registers any incomings TO the coordinate you sent the probe to.
The bug is in this second function. What it is trying to say is that there is an incoming from the Artist of Warfare but it reads Warfare of Warfare.

Yep.. the trace probe always reads the "planet of planet".. it never gives out the whole name. Just a silly bug.

Hmm, I wonder when this bug developed? I have not used the trace probe in over 2 years it got phased into obsolesence for us by our vector calculator / dsp (or eye in the sky) combo. Not to mention Reneé's recent use of "text jamming" (repeatedly entering non-numeric text into your coords) when she encounters those "you have been spied" messages (I can only imagine the dismay of the trace probe owner on finding "fleet 1 from Reneé A. Davis of The Pacific Rim altered course to: tra/ce-/-- fleet 2 from Reneé A. Davis of The Pacific Rim altered couse to: thi/s--/ " and other such nonsense  ).
Will have to test one out asap again and examine that bug in detail.

Always finding new ways to kill the boredom of a 12h eta Think I will see the results of my jamming when we test the trace probe for bugs.
I often wonder about the results. With 2 players putting trace probes on each other this could actually be used as a new form of ingame pm
