nova cannon (class 4 ship)
a massive cannon caperble of blasting emp bolts across the galaxy
this is a building that is constructed at your base.
it fires one shot per 48 hours
the targeting will be chosen as if you were directing a fleet.
so
the cannons target will be set as:
***/***/**
it causes no damage, only jams 1 fleet at the area of impact.
so if fired at a planet, one fleet at the planet will jam and be immobile.
if fired at a score planet, one random fleet will be hit.
this design was created to make warfare seem more ´warfare like´, having a big gun sat at your base.
if used effectively, you can disable a fleet, atack it, and escape.
hit and run style.
attack/life: 0/1500
manpower: 600
researchtime: 2 d
buildingtime: 20 h
human-technology
needed research:
improved targeting
battle details:
jams 1 ship in the enemy fleet in class 4 and you get back the initiative
battlemessage: "emp (effect lasts 24 hrs) ´cannon has blasted your fleet´ jams ... ships"
(battle engine syntax: jam,enemy,1,4,emp (effect lasts 24 hrs) ´cannon has blasted your fleet´) |

questions:
1. Does this count as a building, or a ship?
2. If it's a ship, can there be more then one in each fleet?
3. if it's a building, why does it cost MP?
Remarks:
1. Jamming is not immobilizing the fleet.
2. 24 hours is way to long
3. Incorrect syntax. It just jams one ship in c 4. _________________

i completely messed up the syntax
apologies
its a building...that costs resources...to stop everyone from suing one...some players, will see it and think...nah, i dont need it
basically, i didnt know weither to have it cost MP or not...so i jsut stuck it on to balance
after Davalans point, i would like to re-call this invention completely.
i didnt think about multi's.
but bascially, this is a long range cannon that can immoblize the C4 of one fleet.
however, it can only fire once per 48 hrs, and the effects only last for 24 hrs.
designed on the idea of 'i wish that fleet was there for a couple more hours'
