the nuclear bomb is a nuclear bomb it kills everthing with in a 2 sector area very effective but will destroy your fleet as well.

I dont think this is possible. Syntaxes only work during a battle. And probes can only give info (decloak, dsp, oscilation, etc.).

I think this is much to good, if there are 10 fleets holding a score at the same place you send this and you have maybe 10 000 points in one go. _________________

if you are going to shove something like this
the penalty for using it should be worse
something along the lines of revealing the co-ords of the one who fired it...to allow the targets to respond in due course.
its basically a big prophet...but worse. |

Well so far it's wishful thinking.. but it could work if:
->We make it a "C4 1000/1500 & 5000mp & berserk & warp 4 & make it have a distinguished dsp reading" like the mTWG. It could be a great killer for low AP fleets but the "bomb" idea somehow dies since it can survive battles - and i don't think it's possible to make it SD after like 5 encounters?
->We make it split up into "1000 x C4 2/1 & berserk & warp 4 " radioactive fragments or sth Again make it identifiable on the dsp. _________________

I believe this ship would be perfect of it contained also in it's syntax:
" Upon any attempted movement, this ship self-destructs destroying all fleets and buildings within 2 sectors."
That would make this ship much more balanced I think. |

It's just an idea based on the invention. It's obsolete anyway.. but i still don't see any relevancy in your post.
In both my ideas the ship is rather suicidal than overpowered. Only usefl for certain situations and is a death trap in most. And i guess that's the idea behind most special ships.
I obviously haven't thought thru all the cross effects and new situations created by this.. but i thought this is an open forum where people bounce ideas off each other? Do i deserve getting shit for a bad idea? At least show me the respect of explaining why. _________________

Well Sky...if you consider what the effect this ship would have against a team trying to hold a score planet or the effect on a team trying to hold a captured flag, I'm sure you can see where these aspects of the game would be completely neutralized by this ship. It takes away any thought needed to attack such a stronghold situation.
As AL12 pointed out, the point gain by the user could well exceed 10,000 points in 1 hit against such a high profile target.
BTW...do not take it personal the slagging a new invention usually brings forth. Only 1 in 20 ships usually pass muster in the critique dept. and rightly so. Only 1 in 20 ships actually get considered by the general game players and if it really does pass the critique, it then has to meet approval by the "game gods" and it is usually placed on a pre-warp planet for trial runs.
You would be surprised by the number of ships that have made it to pre-warp and is then discovered that it is too powerful in some aspect to remain in the game. |

I'm not the inventor of the bomb.. i'm just defending my counter-proposal. It's not really meant to make it to a prewarp.. really just sharing ideas. Both my ideas aren't such super weapons.. and yes, i had exactly those situations in mind.. pile-ups of fleets like on score planets. Both ships supports only it's own warp field and i forgot to mention they are meant to fly alone.. like having "destroy all other C1,C2,C3,C4 on battle contact". So a 1500 or 1000 stack of fighters can kill it and score 4000 points for you. _________________

There is the usual obvious flipside to that "favorable result" as well. IE some one creates 4 multi's then spams themselves with this kind of thing for some really nice scores
The doomstar, prophet, and fleet tender all get this mis-use even ships such as hammers, comando c1, sporators, explorers, campaign ships, etc, etc are prone to abuse this way.
IMHO the prophet probably has little other use esp as slow as it is and the requirement for a base to be cleared (actually,most of the work, also IMHO) in advance of using it...
BTW-This "fleet in a ship" idea comes up every month and is as valid as the prior
Also note: Essentially this is an cheap base kill, requiring at minimal, an imbicile intelligence and skill and where you lose points

Been off for a week so whn I came across this I thought I'd put my bit in.
Waaaay too powerful. Might as well call it the lemming.
But....
You could make it a stationary building, to destroy all in 2 sec rad, no immunity. Give it a on/off button (like switching the cloak generator on/off)....
