shockwave destroyer mkii (class 2 ship)

creates a shockwave causing 1 damage to 10 enemy ships.

alternatively could include the drawback of dealing 1 damage to two of your own with a lowered mp of 9.

manpower: 11

researchtime: 1 d
buildingtime: 11 h


e-ray-technology
needed research:
improved targeting

battle details:fights
(battle engine syntax: f)
modifies AP/LP by 0/-1 of 10 ships of any ship-type in the enemy fleet in the same class
(battle engine syntax: mod,enemy,10,this,all,+,0,-1)

This is an idea which came to me the first day I rejoined spacetrace, i was discussing it with O-siris and have been waiting for the ability to invent to do so. What are your thoughts. atm it is 11 mp and does -1lp to 10 enemies, but it could also be 9 mp and does -1 lp to 2 of your own ships as well as 10 enemies.

Well I would use it. Its strong vs class 1 but not as expensive as the specter when you only want to take out 500 class 1. I would personally use it. I think I prefer that it deals 1 damage to 2 of ur own ships but is cheaper. Would be very strong in combo with the hammer or also with wasps.

Hmmm.. this is like a mini cyclops.. its not bad and i could see the different uses for it..

i guess more or less debating if we really need it.. we have cyclops and spectre..

i guess i like it because i can think of a few different ways to use it

Actually is much less related to cyclops or spectre since this one is not limited to c1 only.
Seems balanced but, may be better a kazu instead of eray so, myc get it as an alternative to triggering evaps with cyclopses....triggering on c2 would be less costly

Also a revival of this may be a better idea but, again is eray (have the spectre already).

This was on black hand in large numbers 2 years ago is more like a mini-spectre but, renders c1 unreconstructable (lp to -1) which would avoid "double triggering" of evaps with 1 lp hits but, kills only 5 c1 for the 14 mp invested as a trade-off.

frigate mk ii (class 2 ship)
this ship is the class 2 fighter-defense ship. to it¸s normal gun it has 5 laser turretts which can target fighter over long distances. this ship is ment as a replacement for the spectre.
attack/life: 10/5
manpower: 14
researchtime: 1 d
buildingtime: 12 h

There are enough class one killers already I think, this ship could make class one redundant, which would be ironic as it was once the premier class.

yes Spyder, there are a lot of class 1 killers but.. i think class1 is used alot.. i see many vets with lots of class one.. erm, -TO-

but... it could get redundant.. so i think maybe we should put a trigger on this or something.. like:

LMAO: here is what happens an evap gets triggered into triggering this thing which triggers up to 10 more evaps (killing a c2 for each + possibly triggering more of these ) ...also, mixed c1 (fighters and etc + evaps) and c2 (standard c2 + these) would ensure this happened.
Seems like the evaps would gain really fast...like 10 to 1 (c2 to c1 kills)...
I guess a single trigger_kill@destroy for each (evap and this c2) would simply mean mutual assured destruction for both in any case?

TBH I actually invented it to work in combo with hammer against class 2... It would not trigger your own evaps as it attacks enemy ships. It should remain eray as it is a miniature shockwave cruiser.
