this ship contains autarkic colony modules. these modules can land by itself on a pre-warp world. this claims the pre warp world for your alliance.

The idea of colonizing PWW's is still under construction, therefor, i think these are 4 wasted credits. It is good idea tho, as we will CERTAINLY need it in the near future. But it should house more features, and less warp. Also a longer building time should be applied, and u should add a picture.

(Picture is REALLY importatnt for the image of the ship.)

Looks good spacetrace, just i dont know what effects this can do so im not sure about the man power.. like if it makes a DA on the ppw then more..

just need more details on the colonization thing

Will the "autarkic colony module" continue to occupy 210 mp and a players fleet slot? If so, then this is a great idea.
I imagine multi's will try to abuse this one too...so better make em destroyable (and the prewarp capturable with one of these of your own afterwards).
Then we can combat the additional multi abuse as thier fleet slots will be occupied (as well as some of their mp)

this tech. deff. needs some explainging to what the extents of it actually are. The idea of controling a prewarp though is good especially for an alliance it will give ppl things to do in game

the basic funtionality is done (but not uploaded).

* if you view the details of a planet, you can see who build a colony there
* if you have a a colony star you can fly to a planet and build a colony there
* if a planet has already a colony, you can remove that one a build an own
* there is a statistics page where you see the colony-count of all the alliances

i am not sure if i should upload it... i could be fun already , i am not sure...

maybe you should wait till after this era and give every alliance (more than 2 players) a prewarp and give the winner of that era 3-5 prewarps

just a thought as an extra price except the credits on the main page

i am just thinking of more gameplay options , which could make it a little more fun to colonize planets.

I think this is great. We got to provide incentive to get these colonies stolen to make it really interesting .
T2 trys to figure out how to collect rent on anyone who uses his planned colony. He already invested 50 credits there so perhaps he can charge anyone who uses it. Perhaps it will have to be a pound of flesh taken in lieu.

i like how you have it set up. but giving a the victor of the era 2 or 3 prewarps to start the next round is not that great of one. my question is how would the battles go for the colony? would the colony star create a colony on the planet and the you could move it again or does it become permanitaly fixed to the planet?

How about we would have diffirent sort of prewarps with special abilties.Those abilties would be randomly scatered over the prewarp and there would be no knowing what will you gain if you plant a colonie star.
Abilties would be like DSP station(but hole alliance can see it),instant production of only one type of ship(random factor-which ship would be build there),research prewarp(it gives alliance 5,10,15% shorter research time),random spy on enemies allainces(coords,members...) etc.

Normall some options are more valuable then others so they should be aviable on less number of planets,so allaince would actually fight over them and try to keep it.If you would have a prewarp that instantly produces evaps I could imagine fight over that particular planet and noramlly there should be only small number of this planets.

Well just mine two cents in this matter.Hope you guys arent that mad

first thoughts ...I like your idea Failtrip1 .
There is many good ways to make the game more competitive.
I'm not sure what all you could do to make the pre-warps more desirable to own but this is certainly 1 way to attempt.

making the production centers on the pre-warps self generating certainly would increase it's value . Also having probe slots and special probes available at others make Prewarps valuable as well.
