we will add two newbie-alliaces to the game and every new player will automatically sorted to one of them.
so we need
- two volunteers that would like to be leader for the alliaces
- two cool names
my sugestion is
"Power of Shadow" [PoS]
and
"Enlightenment of Energy" [EE]
the idea came up here:
http://www.spacetrace.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5571
and now we will realise it |

I'd love to be leader of either of those, but i guess i'm not good enough
Threfore, I recomend Achilles, when the war is over, and Connor, to do the job. Unless Connor doesn't want ofcourse, with him running FG lol.
Well that were my two cents... anybody else? _________________

DD...one does not have to be good. They must however know the game and understand how to play.
More importantly, they must be willing to make a newcomer feel welcome, put up with the same basic questions over and over and try to keep the new guys honest by demonstrating those characteristics themselves.
Also, time must be spent in highlighting the things that seem so obvious to someone who has played a while.
I, just the other day corrected a new player who thought fleet damage was cumlitive with subsequent battles. I played almost 2 evo's thinking this, hence, I was able to beat Dave to the bottom of the standings list.
The Start-up alliances leaders must NOT have any ulterior motives except to get better themselves. They should collabrate with each other much like the Grand War is being fought . Even posting BR's will bring a flood of free advice to fleet set-ups maybe?
I would be willing to do a "turn" at working a start-up team but I would really like to finish this round in the TPC. |

MJ...your a little too advanced to be in the "Boot Camp" alliance. It should be strictly for new recruits to the game or people in their first evo. Despite your skill limitations, you would be still far more skilled than a new comer.
You could consider teaming up with someone you trust to form 2 intermediate alliances where graduates from Boot Camp could migrate to ?
An intermediate alliance should not need a designated opponent however as there are many intermediate alliances to battle from already, try to grab graduates from the boot camp alliance to fill out your regular alliance. |

I was wondering what would the requirements be for become this leader?
do you have to be real active? or could it be twice a day? _________________ t0t4l pWn4g3!i

Hey I'll lead a noob alliance it would be cool in my opinion to help them learn the basics of the game. The whole motive for me is to see the student surpass the teacher _________________ The fire it shall cosume your soul in the darkness of destruction |

I dont think its smart for this alliance to have a leader. It would be wise to have at least couple of two good players who knows how game works. So they would be able to present the game in an interesting fashion. This alliance also shouldnt have any rank on scoreboards. It would be only pure training alliance.Tutors would be in there only to give advice etc. not to protect them or do battles for them.
I got this idea from some RPG or MMPRORG or whatever R and O and PGs i once tried out. There was turtorial you had to go throu(actually now i remembered that same is with Runescape) it to get to the game and before you entered real game there were like 10 characters like newbie helpers("vets")helping new guys out.I was thinking much the same here.Only to help out so alliance should need minimum 2 vets to give those advice etc.
If its possible to programme this way so they wouldnt need to leave their alliance and yet still manage to be in this newbie allliance to help and do other stuff then many vets would be glad to help. You wouldnt be limited to only newbies you could actually still play the game as you would want it.Maybe some new newbie helpers would be introduced similiar to star system we have now but this time only GODs would choose helpers out.
I also think that limited period in this alliance should be set like 2 weeks or something like that so alliance wouldnt be to big and heck baby has to grow up and stand on his 2 feet. _________________ http://toptenproxysites.com/

We should get together and hammer out the "10 Commandments" and put in a faq to outline the do's and don'ts of warfare.
I know the manual has everything needed but people are inherently lazy and will not completely read the manual when they first start out. Even those that do read it will not pick out the real important stuff needed.
Only after a considerable interest has been generated will a player research certain questions.
We must generate that interest in the time a new player is in the new alliance with hopes they will go on and join another alliance and be able to "throw a punch" effectively |

failtrip: no, we decided to add these two alliances as real alliances that can also reach the top scores (but probably wouldnt)
the new players will automatically be joined to the alliance and vote for the leader (but they can change it later or leave the alliance right after start)
so the leader should be online twice a day and minimum 2 hours (this is just the average) sure they can vote their commanders that take the place if they are gone for a week or so
so the new players have someone to talk to right after they log in.
if the leader is gone he should set an alliance message in hq, who is in charge for the time
please send me a PM if you apply as a leader |

I think they will...maybe not first place but will in top 3.Example is Fools Gold also newbie alliance.
If its decided then I cant do much about it.Problem is that it will be big alliance, dunno how much people apply to ST daily, but Im guessing it will be big.To big for only one man to handle. And I would still insist you give special helper status for those in newbie alliance no need for any special bonus for being one thou.

i think it should be a secret, if someone wants to join, he has to ask the leader of the alliance then
the Great War will end in a week time. after that we will add the two alliances. so how will they be called now? |

Will there also be some players that will the leader? And would they also need to be able to log in at least 2 hours a day? _________________

"East Side" [Es]
&
"West Side" [Ws]
???
That's my suggestion.
Or when the 2 leaders are chosen, have them choose the name... |

My name suggestions:
Newbie Victors Noob Knashers or Nanite Noobs (for nanite noobs only)
I think there should be an Announcement or Sticky in the recruitment topic for these alliances, so that newbs can join quicker.
I also think this should be made a Sticky/Announcement so that noobs can access this information quicker. _________________
