it would be nice if we could add the mmoogtrade-adverts to the game too.
an advertisement-exchange at the bottom of every page in spacetrace would help a lot to get more players into spacetrace, cause every time an advert is shown in spacetrace, somewhere else in the internet in another game an advert-link to spacetrace is shown, that would bring us more users.
we would add them like this, that you see them only after 10 seconds, so on pages like the fleets screen they are not shown, only if you stay on a screen for more than 10 seconds
what do you think about this? |

i am very unhappy with this because i like the style of my spacetrace as it is now. Millions of blinking, annoying advertisements would tear my heart apart!
Anyway i think it is more important to add spacetrace to game-directories. This can be done by all players!

I know a website that has an advertising minute every hour or so, how about if every hour there would just be an advert slide show, for a minuite, were you couldn't log on Spacetrace, but you could play if you were already online.
I do agree with Spacetrace, the adverts in a football stadium are incredilbly annoying, let alone my favourite game having them. _________________

I think it is a way to get new members into ST, but you should be able t turn it off, as it is really anoying. _________________

Yeah.. not thinking it will help all too much that this is a good idea...
BUT!!!
i know a better advertisment.. that works.. what you need is to advertise at the bottom of forums, like in this one!! I already went to a couple of game at the bottem of this forum but have not had success do to lack of translation into English... i tried the make your own city (german), army command one (german).. all of them not as cool as Spacetrace though..
Or have people go to major forums and advertise like.. "Wow guys! i found this cool new game and its Spacetrace".. but of course wait a bit before you advertise cause they'll think your a spam bot..
But forums are actually good places to advertise.. _________________ -==Frag the Weak, Hurdle the Dead.==- |

Why not jst make sum bots and spread them all over the place? na, just kiddin, but what about making some cool banners and put them on our websites? almost all of us have websites for ourselves, and i am even going to start a whole new server with my friend, oh wait, maybe ican arrange something with him to show some ST banners once in a while... also u could advertise on google adwords, but probably no one will click. or you can e-mail to some of the more well known onlinegames sites, like http://www.spele.nl
http://www.spelletjes.nl
and that sort of things, also i the way i got on St was thanks to http://www.gamelog.nl, it's on strategy games. _________________

I agree with both, I think...
Everyone of the games on the bottom of the forums is in German, therefore the ones I have been interested in fail to translate into English.
If we put some b-a-n-n-e-r-s up, that were in English, Dutch etc. we could, say post on ST's "resume' ", a great way to find new games, faster! Avalible in English, Dutch, and German!
If you see what I'm saying _________________
