This is becoming Verrrrry familiar. Just like old times

WOA hang on a minute!

TLA has nothing to do with UFP!!

I 've just returned to ST hopefuly for a long stretch and decided to resurrect the TLA. I created TLA a long time ago for those who still remember the old days. It was a minor alliance at the time and was short lived due to my RL commitments. But I am ressurecting it again.

I came back online a few days ago and breathed life into TLA yesteday. I have just sent a siren call out through ST (since I am not familiar with who's who in the game at the mo ).

It's open entry for now and I'll vet out those who don't play often.

I did have a small scuffle earlier but was a misunderstanding on my part and to the fact that my int-line went down and was only sorted out this evening.

Now I think an appology is warrented T2

You got It Sparky...you are a victim of timing. I remember you !

(T2 sends a big piece of Humble pie to Sparks)

It did seem odd that your group made an appearance around the same time as the "other guys" decided to split off and then we fought TLA

I'm sure you can see where the assumption came from with the timing so close and all.

ok i have a resonable explanation for the log-on/off time.
its now become mandatory that almost all high schools be put on a 7 period a day plan meanning that all classes are now cut to about 50 mins each. So if they have a comp class last period then that leaves them 50 mins to play ST before they go home. And another thing dont you guys remember the size of a high school class, its about 10-25 ppl per class.
Now about the names i dont have an answer yet soo until we get confirmation from the Admin you guys r just going to have to deal with it.

We have recently logged alot of sequential sign-on activity. I would be most interested in IP scans, but I highly doubt that happens....

Which is unfortunate because it's that easy to clear yourself....

Multi'ing is really out of hand....last EVO I scoured ST for multi's, it was my mission, but it would have taken 5 full time multi bashers to just contain the problem.

Either submit to IP scans or just accept the fact that some (Most) of us will believe you are multi's and hunt your as.ses down. This game is awesome because it relies totally on strategy, a total and complete noob with an understanding of the battle system can take down the oldest vet in the game....unfortuantely most new players confuse multiple fleets and large ships or "swarms" with power. I invite you to try this any day, as you just feed our point total.

That being said, submit to the IP scans. Prove us wrong, please!

We genuinely want new players....but never cheaters. It takes no skill and brings no joy to level multi bases.

Ahhh...the pleasures of high speed or DSL. I've tried with my 26,400 kbs dial-up but it just don't cut it. It's impossibe to get the timing right.

lol dont mean to get picky but.. 26,400kbs? first off thats AMAZINGLY FAST!! for dial up... and secondly i think you were meant to say either 26.4kbs or 26,400bs... sorry.. im taking chemistry and significant figures is embedded into my brain..

so heres what i mean.. 26,400kbs actually equals 26,400,000.. which is 26.4mbs which is pretty darn good... lol...

just to point it out.. im bored.. lol

Max modem speed possible is 56.6 kbs, however most dial up gets a miserable 5 kbs or worse.
Like they say, you rarely get what you were offered

I stand corrected...both you guys are right...drop the Kilo part and it is closer to my speed. Actual d/l speed is around 2k / second but the connect is a very slow 26,400 b/sec. If i could even get up to 56K it would help considerably but just too much delay to effectively pick off ships in a pass over.

My own fault. Was was roaming the wormholes and didn't have a DSP on my net jump site. bang head bang head bang head

Appologies to the rest of TLA for my recession into newbines

But I'll be back to get that swank fleet of yours Dav.

That was my mission last evo when I was myc. Now I've changed race, whn I get some tech it'll be time to hunt.
