ironclad (class 2 ship)

this class 2 version of the flamingo / mosquito uses a hybrid of technologies taken from these 2 ships to develop a tough little destroyer that will stand the test in most battles. this ship does not have attack capabilities.

acually if you calculate it it's nearley the good ammount of mp. to be precise you would have to ad another 1 or 2 mp. I think it's just oke and that it can be added.

This class 2 can be added to the game.

Just a few modifications needed such as manpower and life, but the general idea is good.

I don't think you need to change the life.
the mosquito has 3 life.it can take on 3 fighters.
This can taake on 4 destroyers.And the flamingo
can take on 5 cruisers I believe.

I think it might be quite good actually. Only the name should be different, and maybe 1 or 2 MP higher, and would be a possible invention to me...

until an actual vet starts posting here we can't be too sure if this would really work... i've seen one of these b4, and it was rejected (or possible not looked at by admin?) so i'm not sure if this will work

dude. i didn't say everything they say is applicablle and 100% correct (i spelled a lot of stuf wrong) i'm just saying, until we are sure this ship doens't have a major flaw, we really can't say that this ship is really worth implementing

the problem is, the mosquitos have penguins to counter them, the flamingos have plasma gunships. wat will this have to counter them? it won't really work cause their is no counter for this. well at least no direct counter.

The Farichild would sort of counter this, but one could always use kami's, evaps, apollos, etc. I would need to think further on this, but it seems to be a viable option. I'm too tired and drunk to come up with a coherent thought...

I like this ship, its simple all it needs now is a new name.

I think 10 mp is a good ammount if the admin feels it needs more 12 would also be good

Mosquito = 3 lp 1 mp
This = 40 lp 10 mp
Flamingo= 500 lp 100 mp

Theres symetry there and I like symetry

How about an animal kind of name, like Scorpion or Hawk

"Ironclad" is actually the name of a ship class and was one of the first warships constructed from steel during the mid 1800's. First used during the American civil war I believe. They proved quite effective in being able to withstand the cannon fire that was the primary weapon in ships of that era.

I think the name is very applicable to this type of ship as it reflects the same attributes of it's long ago heritage and lineage.

Of course, it could be called the "Armadillo" or "Turtle" as well

I know what an ironclad is but its a bit out of place in a space warfare game isn't it.

This ship has been done before...aka the heron...as eray and as a 0/50 10 mp c2.

But dont listen to this as it comes from a vet who may be "rong"

There must be some underlying reason this ship or another of it's type or earlier version never make it into regular play. Perhaps it is beacuse there is such a backlog of "workable" inventions already in storage

Also, there are so many good ships already in play that it is very difficult to come close to trying them all.
