The "best race" is without a doubt The Travellers LMAO

I certainly cannot comment on all the races as there are some I have yet to try.
I have used 3 races, Human, E-Ray and Mycilloid. I personally found the Human the toughest to use and Myc the easiest. I think that may be due to my current style of play however.
Lately, I tend to work in a defence style and Myc lends itself more to that format.
E-rey was fun and Human, not until near the end of my evo did I start getting more effective use of my ships due to it's agressive style of play.

I can't wait to try out Nanite and Kaz however I'm just in my 2nd Myc evo now and I'm enjoying it very much this round except I'm not getting the time to explore to it's potential.

All the races however I believe are fairly well balanced as to abilities.
This is 1 reason ship building is so critical and suffers high reject rate.

I used to like eray best and did my 1st 3 evo's as eray while learning to deal with the other races (including other eray) before trying human for 2 evo's then myc, kazu, myc, human, and now nanite.
I find the races very balanced even vs. each other and agree with t2 on the reasons most inventions get rejected as to not upset this balance.
There is also the issue of limited time for additional research to do as no one gets to do all they would desire lately anyway.
