It might be good but i think that you should somehow ask for it( maybe clicking on something). I would find it irritating if i would get thore emails while i can still get online in the game.

Sorry guys but this won't work. The battle report is only generated when you log in.

i.e. the report is actually generated when either you or your opponent logs on. Not when the fleets reach the battle area.

When u log on the report is then generated right infront of you then kept in ur storage space for your account.

Age's ago I suggested for production ques to work even when u are offline. The stopping block for this was the fact that the battle report is only calculated when u log on again to ur account. Admin/ST said that the programming for this could be quite lomng and is only a possibility for the future

So having a report sent to you is not possible until battle report can be generated while opponents/players are offline.

I see this as unlikely because of the massive amount of storage space needed for this.

Sorry mjx1

I had an idea similar to this before but instead it would be a little icon in the taskbar of your screen where it auto-logs you in and keeps you up2date on latest forum topics, news and battle reports ingame. I dont think anything ever happend about this though as i think it require alot of programming.

This could work.

May be link it to messenger?

Problem is that since the game is running relatively smoothly any major changes/patches are far down on admin/ST to do list .

how about making a spacetrace toolbar, where it logs in every hour, and it then sais ''you have 1 new message(s)'' or ''you have 1 new battle report(s)''

it could also show you the latest topic.

May work.

ST will need to develop a downloadable patch.

Infact ST was thinking of having support for the game.
The attractive quality of ST is that there are no downloads necessary. So could use downloadable toolbar as a way to raise support revenue? e.g. $1/download? - for serious ST players.
